Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →You can schedule several YouTube livestreams from one OBS setup by creating each event in YouTube Studio, then connecting OBS to the stream URL and key for the event you are about to broadcast. Scheduling events does not make OBS switch between them automatically. If you mean two streams live at once, that is a separate multi-output setup.
First, decide what “multiple livestreams” means
There are three different workflows that can sound like scheduling multiple streams:
- Several events at different times on one channel: Schedule each event in YouTube Studio. At broadcast time, select that event’s details in OBS.
- Two or more events live at the same time: You need simultaneous stream outputs, not just scheduled events. YouTube documents limits of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key; these are platform limits, not a guarantee your computer or connection can handle that many.
- One OBS production sent to multiple channels: This is also multi-output streaming. Each destination needs its own correct event details, and you must check each preview.
For most creators who mean several broadcasts on a calendar, the first workflow is the right one.
Schedule separate YouTube events
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Select Create > Go Live, then open the Manage tab.
- Create an event. Choose Schedule Stream. Create a new event for each broadcast, or reuse settings only when appropriate. Review the title, visibility, date and time, and other event details. Scheduling creates an event page that you can share, promote, and use to let viewers set reminders. See YouTube’s encoder livestream setup instructions.
- Choose the matching event’s connection details. Open its stream settings and use the stream URL and key associated with the event in OBS. A stream key tells YouTube where the encoder’s feed should go and lets YouTube accept it. Treat it like a password; do not publish it. YouTube allows keys to be created and reused. Its “reuse settings” option also copies metadata, settings, and the stream key, so check that the event and key are the ones you intend to use. Details are in YouTube’s live stream settings guide.
- Connect OBS to that event. In OBS, open Settings > Stream, choose the YouTube service, and enter or select the URL and key for the event you are preparing. Confirm the destination before starting output. OBS’s output API reference describes streaming outputs; it does not document a calendar or scheduled-event selector.
- Start early and verify the preview. YouTube advises setting up encoders at least two hours in advance and starting them at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time. In the event’s Live Control Room, wait for the preview, check stream health, and confirm it shows the intended OBS feed before clicking Go live. See YouTube’s livestream tips.
- End the broadcast cleanly. End the stream in Live Control Room and stop sending from the encoder, following YouTube’s on-screen instructions. Before the next event, switch OBS to that event’s matching stream details and verify its preview.
What OBS does—and does not—schedule for you
YouTube Studio creates the scheduled events; OBS sends the video feed to YouTube. The documented workflow requires choosing the relevant event’s connection details and starting the encoder. Do not assume that scheduling several events causes OBS to change keys or start each one on its own.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Keep a simple event checklist with the date and time, event title, visibility, and the OBS destination/key you plan to use. This helps prevent sending a feed to the wrong event, especially if you reused settings. Do not put an unmasked stream key in a shared checklist.
If you need simultaneous streams
Same production, multiple destinations
A third-party OBS Project forum resource describes a Multiple RTMP Outputs add-on for sending to multiple platforms or channels. This is a route for multiple outputs, not a documented way to create scheduled YouTube events or automatically choose each event’s key. The resource is older; check its current compatibility and installation instructions for your OBS version and operating system before relying on it.

Configure each destination using the corresponding YouTube event details, then confirm each destination’s preview before going public. An extra output may add encoding or network demands, but the cited documentation does not establish a numeric hardware or bandwidth requirement.
Different feeds at the same time
Different scenes or feeds require separate output arrangements rather than simply scheduling multiple events. The sources here do not establish a single-click OBS workflow for producing distinct simultaneous streams. Test the intended setup with unlisted events and verify each preview before a public broadcast.

Respect YouTube’s active-stream limits
YouTube Help documents a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key. These caps do not mean a computer, channel, or internet connection can reliably sustain those streams. Keep the distinction between platform allowance and your actual setup’s capacity in mind.
Troubleshooting the scheduled-event workflow
- The preview does not appear: Check that OBS is sending output and that its stream URL and key match the scheduled event. Allow time for the preview to load, then check stream health in Live Control Room.
- The wrong event receives the feed: Stop the encoder output, reopen the intended event’s details, and verify its destination and key in OBS before sending again. Reused settings can carry over the earlier event’s stream key.
- The preview is correct but the event has not gone live: A scheduled event and an incoming encoder feed are separate steps. Confirm the event in Live Control Room and click Go live when you are ready.
- You cannot start another stream: Check whether you have reached YouTube’s documented active-stream or per-key limit. Also distinguish that platform limit from local system and connection capacity, which the limit does not measure.
- A multi-output add-on is unavailable or behaves differently: The forum resource does not establish current compatibility across OBS versions or operating systems. Check the add-on’s current documentation and test privately before depending on it for a public event.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep uploaded video running as a 24/7 YouTube stream rather than schedule separate OBS broadcasts, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot. StreamNeo can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, and the monthly option is $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
