To schedule an edited video as a YouTube live broadcast with OneStream Live, connect your YouTube channel, open Pre-recorded Stream, add the video, select YouTube as the destination, enter the stream details and start time, then select Schedule Broadcast. If you already created the YouTube event, use OneStream’s Existing Event option instead of scheduling a second event.
Before you schedule: connect YouTube and check eligibility
In OneStream Live, open Social Platforms, add or connect YouTube, select the account and channel you want to use, choose a category, and complete the connection. Once connected, the channel can be selected as the destination for a scheduled prerecorded stream. OneStream’s connection instructions were updated August 18, 2026.
Check YouTube’s requirements before troubleshooting OneStream if you cannot stream. YouTube Help, accessed October 3, 2026, says the channel must be verified, must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16 years old.
Schedule a new pre-recorded broadcast
- In OneStream Live, open Pre-recorded Stream and select Add Videos.
- Choose the recording from your device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox. Select the content and continue.
- Choose YouTube as the destination. If the channel is not listed, connect it first under Social Platforms.
- Enter the stream details. OneStream’s onboarding guidance includes a title, description, tags, thumbnail, scheduled time, and announcement settings. The exact controls can vary by workflow or software version.
- Review the destination and scheduled details, then select Schedule Broadcast.
OneStream Live’s scheduling instructions, updated September 7, 2026, describe this sequence as video source, destination, stream details, and Schedule Broadcast. Review the selected video and time before confirming so the intended recording is associated with the intended YouTube channel.

Attach the video to an existing YouTube event
If the event is already set up on YouTube, select it in OneStream rather than creating another broadcast. OneStream’s documented flow is:
- Confirm the intended YouTube channel is connected in OneStream.
- Create a stream and choose Pre-recorded.
- Choose Existing Event, then select the YouTube event.
- Add the video and review the event’s title, description, thumbnail, privacy setting, and date and time.
- Select Schedule Broadcast.
This route is for using an event that already exists. Check its date, time, and privacy details carefully before scheduling the recording to it.

Schedule once or repeat the stream
For a single broadcast, schedule the stream without enabling repeat. For a recurring prerecorded broadcast, OneStream documents a separate Repeat Stream option after you have chosen content, destinations, stream details, and a start time.
- Turn on Repeat Stream.
- Set Repeats Every to an interval measured in days or weeks.
- Set the number of occurrences and review the recurrence before scheduling.
OneStream’s recurring-stream instructions describe these as recurrence controls; they are not the same as scheduling a one-off broadcast. Confirm the generated dates in the current interface before you publish the schedule.

Announcements and what viewers see
OneStream’s onboarding guidance describes an Announce Stream option and an announcement time. The controls shown may depend on the workflow or version, so review the settings available in your account.
YouTube Help says a stream scheduled for later may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds. Viewers may select Notify me, and YouTube sends a notification when the scheduled live stream is about to begin. OneStream’s announcement controls and YouTube’s upcoming-event notifications are related but distinct; check the event itself on YouTube to confirm how it appears to viewers.

Advanced settings and plan availability
A OneStream Live help article updated July 7, 2026, lists advanced scheduling options including 180°/360° video orientation, deleting the VOD after a stream, YouTube DVR, YouTube Kids designation, and YouTube monetization. The article says advanced scheduling is supported on Standard and higher-tier plans. Check your current plan and account interface to confirm which controls are available; monetization also depends on YouTube channel eligibility and YouTube’s rules.

- Channel missing: Connect the correct YouTube account and channel under Social Platforms, then return to destination selection.
- Scheduling is blocked or unavailable: Check YouTube’s verification, recent-restriction, and age requirements before assuming the problem is with the OneStream workflow.
- Wrong or duplicate event: If the YouTube event already exists, choose Existing Event and verify its title and scheduled time before confirming.
- Unexpected announcement: Review OneStream’s announcement setting and time, then inspect the scheduled event on YouTube. YouTube’s upcoming listing and notification behavior are controlled by YouTube.
- An advanced control is missing: Check the current plan and interface; OneStream’s cited help page places advanced scheduling on Standard and higher tiers.
- Concerned about playback quality or content rights: Review the finished video before scheduling and make sure you have rights to its footage, music, and other material. OneStream scheduling does not remove YouTube’s copyright or monetization requirements.
YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends configuring an encoder at least two hours before an event, starting it at least 15 minutes early, previewing in Live Control Room, and checking accessibility. That advice is written for encoder workflows; it is not a stated requirement for OneStream’s cloud-hosted prerecorded scheduling. For a prerecorded stream, reviewing the event and settings in advance is still a sensible check.
