Scheduling creates the upcoming event and watch page; it does not play or loop the playlist for you. For continuous streaming, set up and test both pieces separately.
Before you schedule: check channel eligibility and music rights
Enable live streaming
Your channel must be verified and must not have a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube says first-time live-streaming enablement can take up to 24 hours. Its current getting-started guidance sets a minimum age of 16 for livestreaming. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance before choosing an event time.

Clear the rights for every track
Confirm that you have permission to use both the recordings and the underlying compositions in a livestream. A track being religious, publicly accessible, or already uploaded to YouTube does not make it cleared for your broadcast. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; detected material can interrupt or terminate a stream. A license alone may not prevent interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and its livestream terms and conditions.
Schedule the YouTube Live event

Open YouTube Studio and select Create → Go Live.

Open Manage, then choose Schedule stream. Reuse settings from a previous stream or create a new stream, and enter the event details and schedule.

Publish the scheduled event. Share its watch URL so viewers can find the upcoming stream and opt into notifications.

Choose how the playlist will run continuously
The scheduled event is not a playlist player. You need a program feed that plays the devotional videos and sends them to YouTube for the duration of the broadcast.

Local software encoder
Software on a computer can play and send the feed. The computer, playback setup, and local internet connection must remain available for the stream to continue. Confirm that the software can loop the playlist and determine how it behaves if playback or the connection fails.

Standalone hardware encoder
YouTube supports standalone hardware encoders as well as software encoders. Hardware is an option, not a requirement; check the device’s playlist, scheduling, and recovery capabilities before relying on it for a long-running broadcast.
Cloud-hosted automation
A cloud tool can supply the feed without depending on a computer at home. YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming and CamStreamer as supporting continuous and scheduled streams. Confirm any provider’s current capabilities, terms, recovery behavior, and costs directly; YouTube’s directory does not establish comparative service levels.
Whichever method you choose, verify that it loops the intended videos, resumes after faults if needed, and sends a feed to the scheduled event. YouTube lists encoder options at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

Connect the encoder and start the scheduled stream

In YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, open the scheduled event and copy its stream URL and stream key into the encoder’s YouTube settings.

Treat the stream key like a password. Do not share it publicly. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder with the replacement.

Configure the encoder to play the playlist continuously and start sending the feed before the event time.

Check the incoming preview in Live Control Room. When the signal is ready, select Go live to start the event.

Scheduling alone does not guarantee that the broadcast begins automatically: the encoder still has to send the feed, and the operator confirms Go live after checking the preview.

Prepare bandwidth and monitor the broadcast
YouTube recommends configuring encoders at least two hours before an event and starting them at least 15 minutes beforehand so you can check the preview. It also recommends keeping 20% upload-bandwidth headroom above the total stream bitrate. These are operational recommendations, not a guarantee of 24/7 uptime. Understand continuous streams and automatic archives
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not establish that streams lasting 12 hours or more will be archived, nor does it set a maximum live duration. If you need a replay of a longer devotional broadcast, check YouTube’s current guidance and test the intended workflow rather than assuming the full stream will be saved.

The scheduled event exists, but viewers see no live feed: Scheduling creates the event, not the program. Start the encoder, check that it is sending to the correct event, and wait for the preview in Live Control Room before selecting Go live.

The encoder cannot connect: Check that the stream URL and key match the event. If the key may have been exposed or replaced, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.

The playlist stops or does not repeat: Check the encoder’s loop and automation settings. A YouTube scheduled event does not control playlist playback; confirm the selected tool’s behavior before relying on it for continuous use.

The stream is interrupted over a song: Review the recording and composition rights, and whether the rights holder must allowlist your channel through Content ID. Religious subject matter does not exempt music from copyright enforcement.

Video or audio quality degrades: Check the signal and local upload capacity where applicable, and maintain YouTube’s recommended 20% bandwidth headroom over the total stream bitrate. Monitor the preview and live output.

The replay is missing or incomplete: Do not assume a stream lasting 12 hours or more will be archived. Consult current YouTube guidance and test archive handling with the workflow you plan to use.
