Save an archived webpage as a PDF

Open the Wayback Machine and look up the webpage’s URL. Choose the capture date and snapshot you want.

Open that archived snapshot. Check that it is the right date and that the page content you need is visible.

Use your browser’s print command and select its PDF output or destination, if available. Browser menu names vary, so consult the instructions for your browser and operating system if you cannot find the option.

Open the saved PDF and inspect it. Check for clipped text, awkward page breaks, missing images, unwanted headers or footers, and the Wayback Machine toolbar. If needed, adjust the print layout and save another copy.
A PDF preserves what the browser rendered for printing; it cannot guarantee that interactive or dynamic content will work as it did on the live site. The Internet Archive says dynamic pages work well when they render standard HTML, but you should verify the particular archived page and PDF yourself. Save Page Now is not PDF export
Use Save Page Now when you want the Internet Archive to make an archived snapshot and permanent archived URL. It is a separate step from printing that snapshot to a local PDF. The Internet Archive Help Center explains: “The feature saves the page you enter including the images and CSS.” Internet Archive Help Center: Save Pages in the Wayback Machine
Save Page Now is a one-page operation: it does not save outlinks by default or crawl an entire site, directory, or collection of linked pages in one action. What to do if the archive or PDF is incomplete

The page is missing: The Wayback Machine cannot guarantee that a page has been archived. Some sites may be excluded because of robots.txt or an owner’s direct request. Try another available capture date, if one exists. Internet Archive Help Center: Using The Wayback Machine

Images or styling are missing: A page may be archived while some assets are not. The Internet Archive notes that broken images can occur when those images are not available on its servers. Check another snapshot date; if the asset is unavailable in the archive, printing cannot restore it. Internet Archive Help Center: Using The Wayback Machine

Save Page Now does not capture the page: Some pages cannot be saved, including sites that prohibit crawling and pages affected by certain SSL or security settings. Internet Archive Help Center: Save Pages in the Wayback Machine

The PDF looks wrong: Return to the archived page and print again after adjusting the browser’s print layout. Inspect the new PDF rather than assuming the archive and print output match perfectly.

When you need more than one archived page
For a single page, Save Page Now can create an archive snapshot, which you can then print if you need a local PDF. It does not crawl a whole site. The Internet Archive describes Archive-It as a paid subscription service for organizations running collection and crawling projects; it is a separate option, not a requirement for making an individual PDF.
