Save a webpage as a landscape PDF in Microsoft Edge
- Open the webpage in Edge.
- Open the print dialog with Ctrl+P on Windows or Command+P on macOS. You can also open Edge’s menu and choose Print.
- In the print settings, choose Landscape under Layout.
- Choose a PDF destination available on your device, such as Save as PDF.
- Check the preview, adjust settings if needed, and save the PDF.
PDF destination names can vary by platform and configuration, so choose the PDF option actually shown in your print dialog. Microsoft’s Edge print guidance documents the shortcuts and Landscape setting.

Save a landscape PDF in Firefox desktop
- Open the webpage’s print preview using Firefox’s print command.
- Choose Save to PDF from the destination menu.
- Set Orientation to Landscape.
- Review the preview. If the page does not fit well, adjust scale, margins, or paper size where available, then save.
Firefox’s print settings also include page selection, formatting, headers and footers, and background-print options. A webpage may print differently from how it looks on screen. See Firefox’s instructions for printing web pages.

Use the system print-to-PDF route on Windows or macOS
If your browser’s PDF destination is not obvious, the operating system’s print workflow may offer another route. The CFPB’s guidance describes these steps for Windows 10 and macOS; labels and availability can differ in later system versions or other configurations.

- Windows: Open print with Ctrl+P, then choose Microsoft Print to PDF or Save as PDF, depending on the browser. Set landscape in the browser’s print settings when that control is available.
- macOS: Open print with Command+P, then choose Save as PDF from the PDF menu. Set landscape in the print settings when available.

Save a webpage as PDF in Android Chrome
- Open the page in Chrome.
- Tap More, then Share, then Print.
- Choose Save as PDF, select where to save the file, and complete the save.
Google’s documented Android workflow confirms saving as PDF, but does not specify a landscape setting. Orientation controls can vary across Android devices and print services, so check the options on your device rather than assuming landscape is available. Check the preview and fix common print problems
The right side of the page is clipped
Switch to landscape, then check whether a smaller scale, different paper size, or narrower margins improves the fit. Landscape provides a wider page but cannot guarantee that a wide webpage will fit; responsive layouts and print-specific page formatting can change what appears.

The PDF includes navigation, ads, or other clutter
Firefox offers a Simplified format option where supported. Firefox notes that Simplified format prevents backgrounds from printing. Edge describes using Immersive Reader as a clutter-free printing workaround where supported. These options depend on the browser and page, and may not be available everywhere.

Look for a background-print option in the print settings. Firefox lists Print backgrounds; Edge has a Background graphics option. A page may also deliberately use a different layout or omit visual elements for printing. See the Firefox print settings and Edge print settings.

Landscape is unavailable or keeps reverting in managed Edge
A workplace administrator may control the webpage print layout through an Edge policy. Microsoft’s policy documentation says the setting supports Windows and macOS from Edge 93; it is not supported on Android or iOS. If the setting is configured, ask your administrator whether the policy can be changed. When it is not configured, users can choose portrait or landscape.
