Choose how the stream will run
A continuous broadcast needs something to play the media and send the encoded video to YouTube. Without a computer, the two documented routes are dedicated hardware on site or cloud hosting. YouTube’s verified encoder directory describes both the AJA HELO Plus and cloud services for prerecorded 24/7 streams. Directory descriptions establish listed capabilities, not independent reliability results or a guarantee that a stream will never stop.

YouTube’s directory does not compare these services’ prices, terms, or long-run reliability. For the hardware route, the directory describes a feature; it is not an independent test. The AJA unit also depends on local power and internet even though it removes the computer.
Prepare Malayalam devotional videos and rights
Build the playlist from files you are permitted to broadcast continuously. Check rights separately for each song, music recording, video, photograph, artwork, and other visual element. A devotional subject does not by itself make a composition, recording, or image public domain, nor does permission to listen or download necessarily grant livestreaming rights.

- Confirm that your permission covers YouTube livestreaming and repeated or continuous playback.
- Check whether rights apply to the underlying composition as well as the particular recording and visuals.
- Keep documentation for licenses or permissions, and replace material if its terms do not allow the planned use.
YouTube requires live content to follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Its technical setup guidance cannot establish that any particular Malayalam devotional recording is cleared for your channel.
Meet YouTube’s live-stream requirements
YouTube’s live-stream guidance says the channel must be verified and must have had no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Set up a standalone encoder
- Prepare the device and media. Choose an encoder that supports your files and scheduled prerecorded playback. YouTube lists the AJA HELO Plus and describes its PlayToStream functionality as scheduling prerecorded media directly to YouTube Live without a computer. Check the device’s current compatibility and operating instructions before buying or configuring it.
- Create the YouTube stream. In YouTube Studio, create or select the live stream and obtain its server URL and stream key. YouTube’s encoder guide explains the setup at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Enter the connection details on the encoder. Copy the server URL and stream key into the device’s YouTube or RTMP streaming settings. Treat the key like a password: do not share it publicly, and replace it if it is exposed.
- Schedule and verify playback. Load the rights-cleared videos, configure the playback schedule using the device’s instructions, and preview the stream in YouTube Studio before going live. Check picture, audio, playlist order and transitions.
- Test the real operating conditions. Run a supervised test long enough to catch playback gaps and verify what happens after a connection interruption. The device remains dependent on local power and internet; plan how you will notice or address a fault.
Use a cloud service instead of local hardware
A cloud service moves the playback and streaming work off your premises. YouTube’s verified encoder directory lists cloud-service examples, but its directory does not establish their current prices, regional availability, or suitability for a particular channel. Compare file storage and upload limits, playlist behavior, monitoring, recovery, support and terms before choosing one.

Connect securely and test the stream
Google documents RTMPS, which carries RTMP over SSL, and specifies port 443 for RTMPS ingestion. Use the connection mode supported by your encoder or cloud provider; see Google’s RTMPS ingestion guidance. The cited guidance does not set a particular internet-speed requirement or backup-connection target for your setup.

- Confirm that YouTube Studio receives the stream preview before starting the broadcast.
- Listen for uninterrupted audio and check image quality, playlist transitions and playback order.
- Test what happens when the connection is interrupted, and how you will detect and respond to a stopped stream.
- Keep the stream key private; if it is exposed, change it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder or provider.
Plan for the YouTube replay limit
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not rely on YouTube to provide a complete archive of one continuous stream longer than 12 hours. If retaining a replay matters, plan shorter broadcast sessions and/or a separate recording workflow. See the archive guidance in YouTube’s encoder instructions.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
