If your app already manages TON Connect, configure the Omniston widget in integrated mode and pass it that same initialized instance. Do not create a second TonConnect object for the widget: STON.fi warns that the TON Connect SDK permits only one instance in an application and that multiple instances can crash it. See the STON.fi widget guide for the documented configuration.
Choose integrated mode when your app already owns wallet state
Omniston documents two connection modes. In standalone mode, the widget initializes TON Connect from a manifest URL. In integrated mode, your application supplies its existing TON Connect instance so the app and widget can share the wallet connection. If your app already has an initialized instance, use integrated mode.

Pass the existing instance to the widget
Use the app’s initialized object in the widget configuration. The following pattern follows STON.fi’s documented loader example; in an existing app, replace the example’s tonconnect variable with the instance the app already uses.

Prepare the package, manifest, and mount point
- Add the widget loader. Install
@ston-fi/omniston-widget-loader. If the app does not already depend on@tonconnect/sdk, STON.fi’s guide says to install it; otherwise reuse the existing dependency. - Configure the app’s manifest. Create and host a TON Connect manifest for the application, then configure the existing instance or provider with that manifest. STON.fi says the manifest URL must be hosted on the same domain as the application; wallets reject connections when the domains do not match.
- Load and construct the widget. Load the widget constructor, then pass the existing instance in
tonconnect.instancewithtype: 'integrated'. - Mount only after the container exists. Ensure the target DOM node is available before calling
mount. The guide’s example uses#omniston-widget-container.
The npm loader fetches the widget bundle at runtime. STON.fi also documents a CDN script option; the npm loader is the documented recommendation for bundled applications, while CDN paths are major-versioned, so update the major-version path when adopting a breaking version. The widget loads its styles automatically.
Mount it safely in React
In React, retrieve the TON Connect UI instance from the provider with useTonConnectUI(), load the widget constructor asynchronously, and mount it into a ref-backed container. Unmount the widget during effect cleanup. This keeps the widget aligned with the component lifecycle and passes through the provider’s instance rather than creating another connection.
