Resume the interrupted upload in Chrome
- Keep the original video file. Use the same file you selected for the interrupted upload, in the same location if possible. Do not substitute an edited or re-encoded copy.
- Open YouTube’s upload page within 24 hours of stopping the upload. In Chrome, go to youtube.com/upload and sign in to the channel you used for the original upload.

If the upload is slow or appears stuck
A slow transfer is not necessarily a failed one. YouTube says an upload can take from a few minutes to several hours, depending on factors including file size, internet speed and stability, upload traffic, and video quality. YouTube associates this error with unusual browser security settings, which may involve firewall, antivirus, antispyware, or related software. Check which security program could be affecting the upload.
