You can change Google Play’s personalization inputs, but Google does not document a one-tap reset that guarantees a fresh game feed. On Android, open Google Play Store → profile picture → Personalization in Play. From there, turn off Personalize Play for the broadest Play-specific change, adjust selected content settings, or review and delete Play History. Each option changes different signals; deleting history does not erase acquired apps or all Play Games data.
Choose how much personalization to change
The right setting depends on whether you want to remove most account-based inputs, keep personalization but narrow it, or manage saved Play activity. These controls are not interchangeable:

Turn off Play personalization
- Open the Google Play Store app on Android.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Tap Personalization in Play.
- Switch off Personalize Play.
This is the broadest focused control for Google Play. It prevents Play from using Google Account information, such as Play History and acquired Play items, for personalization. It does not make the experience entirely untailored: Play may still use device, country, and installed-app information. Google notes that recommendations may be less relevant when personalization is off. Google Play Help
Keep personalization on but narrow its inputs
If you still want account-based recommendations, leave Personalize Play on and review the more specific options in Personalization in Play. Under Other Play personalization options, you can disable personalization based on device details and manage particular items under Your Play content. The available controls are narrower than switching off the main setting, but let you retain some personalization. Google Play Help

Changes to Play content personalization may take up to 24 hours to take effect. That timing is not a guarantee that a game-recommendation feed—or every other Play surface—will look different by then. If the main personalization setting is off, these narrower controls are unavailable.
Review, limit, or delete Play History
Play History can include more than searches. It may include app usage, visits to app detail pages, and interactions with offers. To manage it on Android, open Google Play Store → profile picture → Personalization in Play → Play History. Google Play Help: manage Play History

- Stop saving new Play History: Turn off Google Play History. When the history setting is on, Android also offers separate controls for saving activity on Google Play and app usage.
- Remove saved events: Use the Play History view to delete individual events or all Play History. Google says the history remains visible in Personalization in Play, where you can view events, search for them, and delete history.
- Set automatic deletion: Choose an available retention interval of 3, 18, or 36 months. These are user-selectable deletion settings, not estimates of how quickly recommendations change. Google Play Help
Deleting history removes the Play History events you select; it does not remove acquired Play items from your account. Nor does turning off history stop all data collection: Google says it may continue collecting and processing some data for purposes described in its Privacy Policy. Google Play Help
Know what a history deletion does not reset
Play History, acquired apps and games, and Play Games profile information are distinct. Removing one does not automatically remove the others. If your goal includes clearing Play Games activity or stats, manage Play Games profile data separately; deleting profile data does not delete Play History, and deleting Play History does not remove all Play Games profile activity or stats. Consider the broader Google activity control only if needed
Google’s app-discovery documentation also points to Web & App Activity for stopping personalization based on order history and Google activity. This reaches beyond Google Play, so changing it may affect how other Google services use account activity. Google documents controls for changing personalization inputs and deleting saved Play History, not a dedicated one-tap recommendation reset. Its guidance does not establish how much a particular setting will alter a specific person’s game recommendations or give a fixed refresh time after history deletion. Change the control that matches your privacy preference, then check Play later; do not treat an unchanged feed as proof that history deletion failed.
