Genius Sonority says it will refund the unused paid portion of THE NEW DENPA MEN’s in-game currency after service ends, under Article 20, Paragraph 1 of Japan’s Payment Services Act. The game is scheduled to close on December 7, 2026, at 11:00 JST. The refund request window and instructions have not yet been announced; the operator says it will publish them on the official website after shutdown.
What can you get refunded?
The announced refund covers unused in-game currency in the paid portion. It is not a promise to refund spent currency, items already purchased, or every payment ever made in the game. Genius Sonority’s end-of-service notice describes a specific statutory refund for the remaining paid-currency balance; it does not extend that promise to other purchases.

This is different from an ordinary refund request. The game’s FAQ says it does not accept routine refund requests for purchased Jewels or paid items, while the shutdown notice separately announces the refund for unused paid currency after service ends. Do not treat the special shutdown process as a general right to reverse past purchases.
The operator’s notice says: “After the end of service, unused in-game currency (paid portion) will be refunded pursuant to Article 20, Paragraph 1 of the Payment Services Act of Japan.” (Genius Sonority end-of-service announcement.)

What should you do before the game closes?
- Record your Support ID. On the game’s title screen, open Support and write down the ID. The operator says the Support ID is required for a refund request and will remain accessible there through March 31, 2027.
- Keep the app installed. Do not delete it or reinstall it on a new device until the refund procedure is complete. Genius Sonority says it needs player data to verify inquiries.
- Consider using paid Jewels before shutdown. Paid Jewels will no longer be usable once the service ends. The operator says in-game data, including Jewels and items, will no longer be available afterward.
- Keep purchase records as a precaution. The notice does not say what proof, if any, will be required, so do not assume a receipt upload is part of the process.
The operator’s notice states: “Your "Support ID" is required to request a refund.” It also instructs players not to delete the app or reinstall it on a new device until the refund procedure is complete. (Official end-of-service announcement.)

How do you submit the refund request?
The initial announcement does not provide a form, request window, or submission instructions. After service ends, check the official news page for the procedure Genius Sonority publishes. Do not assume the request should go through Nintendo support, an Apple or Google app-store refund flow, or an unannounced contact address.

Does the process differ between Switch and mobile?
Paid currency is platform-specific: the game’s FAQ says currency purchased on Switch, iOS, or Android must be used on the platform where it was purchased, and paid currency cannot be transferred between Switch and mobile. The shutdown announcement does not explain whether players with balances on multiple platforms must submit separate requests or how those balances will be handled. Keep track of which platform holds each unused paid balance and follow the operator’s eventual instructions. (Official FAQ.)

Nintendo of America’s digital-products policy says payments are final and non-refundable except when Nintendo authorizes a refund or applicable law requires one. That is US platform-policy context, not a substitute for Genius Sonority’s specific shutdown announcement, and it should not be assumed to govern every country or platform.
