Uninstall an app on a Jitterbug Smart2
Follow this sequence to remove an app you installed:

- On the Home Screen, tap View All Apps.
- While viewing all apps, tap Options.
- Tap Uninstall App.
- Select the app you want to remove, then tap OK to confirm.
These are the instructions in Lively’s Jitterbug Smart2 User Guide, in the “Uninstalling Apps” section. The guide states: “You can only uninstall apps that you have installed. You cannot uninstall the pre-loaded apps.”
Remove an app from the Home Tab without uninstalling it
If you only want an app shortcut gone from the Home Tab, use the older Jitterbug Smart guide’s Remove Favorites option instead. This changes which apps are listed as favorites; it does not uninstall them from the phone.

- Tap the Menu button.
- Choose Remove Favorites.
- Select the apps to remove using their checkboxes.
- Tap OK.
The older guide says the Phone App cannot be removed from the Home Tab. [c002]
What if you have a Jitterbug Smart3 or Smart4?
Do not assume the Smart2 menu sequence applies to every Jitterbug. Lively publishes separate documentation for Smart3 and Smart4, and describes Smart4 as a customized Android 14-based experience. The available model-specific documentation does not establish the exact uninstall steps for either Smart3 or Smart4. Check the guide for your model or contact Lively support if your menus differ. If the app does not appear as uninstallable
On Smart2, the guide only supports uninstalling apps you installed. If the app came preloaded, its instructions do not provide a way to uninstall it. The cited documentation also does not establish a universal procedure to hide or disable preloaded apps.
