YouTube says a person can request removal when AI-generated content mimics their voice or likeness without consent. Its review considers context, including whether the content is parody or satire. Use the privacy complaint route for the specific video when the central issue is that it depicts or imitates you without authorization.

Report a channel that is impersonating you
If the channel itself is pretending to be you or another person, submit an impersonation report for the channel. YouTube’s policy says it does not allow unauthorized impersonation that may mislead viewers in a way that could harm the community. A channel report and a privacy request address different concerns; report the content through the route that fits the issue rather than assuming one automatically covers the other.
Report a voice clone on TikTok
Report the individual post using Report → Misinformation → Deepfakes, synthetic media, and manipulated media. TikTok provides routes in both the app and browser; follow the reporting prompts to submit the relevant post. Reporting is not a guarantee of removal: TikTok says it may remove content that violates its rules. The route is for a post, so an account impersonation concern may need to be reported separately through the platform’s available account-reporting options.

Report impersonation on X
X’s official guidance supports reporting an account that impersonates a person, and says you do not need an X account to file that report. The cited guidance establishes an account-impersonation route, not a dedicated form specifically for voice clones in individual posts. If a business is reporting trademark misuse, X handles that through a separate trademark complaint process; a voice-clone complaint should not be presented as a trademark claim unless that is actually the issue.

When the clone involves an artist’s vocals on Spotify
Spotify announced an impersonation policy and an artist content-mismatch reporting process for claims involving AI voice clones and other unauthorized vocal impersonation. The workflow is artist-facing and includes reports before a track is released. Spotify described the policy as clarifying how it handles these claims and providing artists clearer recourse; that is the company’s announcement, not a guarantee that a particular track will be removed. It is not established as a general consumer form for every person whose voice has been cloned.

- Check the decision notice for any appeal or follow-up option, and use it if available. Include the original URL and the report confirmation so the platform can identify the case.
- Keep your explanation focused on the specific content or account, the voice being imitated, and why you believe the use is unauthorized.
- If the clone is tied to fraud, commercial exploitation, threats, or a disputed rights claim, consider advice from a qualified professional in your jurisdiction. The legal remedy depends on local law and the details of the case.
