Forget a printer saved in Samsung Print Service Plugin
- Open Settings and search for Printing.
- Tap Samsung Print Service Plugin.
- Open the menu and choose Add Printer to view printers previously added.
- Select the printer you want to remove, then tap Forget Printer. Depending on the screen, you may need to press and hold the printer name before choosing that option.
These steps apply to entries managed by Samsung Print Service Plugin; other print services may have different menus. Samsung’s Printing settings guidance explains how to find installed print services, while the HP plugin instructions describe a similar printer-management route.

Forget a printer from the print dialog
If the printer appears because it was used before, open a document or photo and start the print flow. Tap All printers, press and hold the printer entry, and choose Forget printer. The Samsung Print Service Plugin FAQ says the removal takes effect the next time you print. See its printer-list FAQ for the documented route.
Turn off a print service instead
Use this option when you want to stop an entire print service from being available, not just remove one printer listing. On Samsung phones, open Settings, search for Printing, then turn off the switch beside the service. Samsung notes that the Printing screen lists installed services and their on/off switches (Samsung Support).

Android’s general settings path is Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Printing, then turn off the relevant service. Galaxy menu placement can differ, so searching Settings for Printing is often the simpler route. Google’s Android printing guidance documents the general service controls.
If the printer is still listed
- Check which print service owns the listing. Galaxy settings can show multiple installed services, and each may retain its own printer list.
- Make sure you chose Forget Printer for the printer entry, rather than only switching the service off.
- If the printer was removed through the print dialog, try opening printing again; the plugin FAQ says the change takes effect on the next print.
- If the option or path differs, follow the labels shown on your phone. Samsung’s illustrated guide was captured on a Galaxy S10+ running Android 9 and cautions that settings and steps can vary by device and Android version (Samsung New Zealand guide).
Can you uninstall Samsung Print Service Plugin?
Some Samsung devices have the plugin preinstalled, so removing the app itself may not be available. If you cannot uninstall it, turn its service switch off in Printing settings; some devices may offer the option to remove updates. Disabling the service is different from forgetting a printer, so choose based on whether you want to remove one listing or stop the plugin from handling printing.
