To remove a Google Account from a Samsung tablet, open Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts, select the account, tap Remove account, then confirm. This signs the account out on that tablet; it does not delete the Google Account itself.
Choose the right kind of removal
“Deleting your Google Account from a Samsung tablet” can mean three different things. Choose based on what you want to happen:

Remove a Google Account from your Samsung tablet
- Open Settings.
- Tap Accounts and backup.
- Tap Manage accounts.
- Select the Google Account you want to remove.
- Tap Remove account, then tap Remove account again to confirm.
If Google device-protection features are enabled, the tablet may ask you to verify your identity before signing out. Samsung notes that screens and setting names can vary by carrier and software version, so a Galaxy Tab may not show precisely the same labels. What removing the account changes on the tablet
Google says adding an account syncs information such as email and contacts to a device. Removing it also removes associated information from that device, including email, contacts, and settings. This device-level action is not the same as erasing the data in the online Google Account. Google Android Help

If the Samsung menu differs, Android account settings may instead appear under Passwords and accounts, Users and accounts, Passwords, passkeys and autofill, Password, passkeys and accounts, or Manage accounts. Select the account, choose Remove account, and confirm. If it is the only Google Account on the device, Android may require the tablet’s screen-lock pattern, PIN, or password. Delete the entire Google Account permanently
Permanent deletion is an account-wide action, not a Samsung tablet setting. Google’s path is through the Google Account’s Data & Privacy section: open Your data & privacy options, choose More options, then Delete your Google Account and follow the on-screen instructions. Google Account Help

Prepare before confirming
- Review your account and download anything you want to keep.
- Change the Gmail address used for sign-in or recovery on banking, social media, and other services.
- Update recovery information in case you later try to recover the account.
- Check Google services and purchases associated with the account, including Google Play and YouTube content.
What you can lose
Google says deleting an account removes data and content such as emails, files, calendars, and photos. You also lose access to services signed in with that account, such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or Play, as well as subscriptions and content bought through YouTube or Google Play. Some Android apps and services may stop working; Play downloads and updates, purchased media access, contacts stored only in the account, and Drive saving can also be affected. The precise effect on a Samsung tablet depends on how it is set up. Google warns that recovery might no longer be possible after some time. Delete Gmail but keep the rest of your Google Account
Google provides a separate option to delete Gmail without deleting the entire Google Account. First, a different email address must already be associated with the account. In Google Account settings, choose Delete a Google Service, select Gmail, enter the other address, and verify it. Gmail is not deleted until that address is verified. Google Account Help

Before selling or giving away the tablet
Removing the account alone is not a complete handoff. Google recommends clearing all data and applications before giving a device away or discarding it, and directs Android users to device-specific reset guidance. Use Samsung’s instructions for the exact Galaxy Tab model and software version; the reset steps are not identical on every tablet. If your Google Account is still signed in on a device you cannot access, Google says you can remotely sign out. Use your Google Account’s device-management controls to find the tablet and sign out; this disconnects the account from that device and is different from permanently deleting the account.
