A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11To reinstall a tempered-glass PC side panel safely, identify your exact case and its mounting method, support the glass, align its tabs or grooves before securing it, and use only the fasteners specified for that model. If it does not seat readily, stop and check the orientation and manual—do not force it.
Before you put the panel back
- Find the exact case model. Check the case label, original documentation, or manufacturer support page. Panel mounts vary: for example, Corsair 4000/5000-series cases use tabs and thumbscrews, ASUS’s TUF Gaming GT501 uses grooves and screws, and NZXT’s H710-series uses bottom alignment, top ball sockets, and a locking screw. These procedures are not interchangeable.
- Prepare a stable work area. Power down the computer and make sure the case cannot shift while you work. Follow your case maker’s handling guidance; ASUS recommends gloves and laying the GT501 flat on a stable surface for its procedure.
- Keep a firm, balanced hold on the glass. If the panel is already off, hold it securely and set it down on a soft, stable surface. Corsair suggests a couch or wooden table for the 2800X glass. Its safety guidance warns against hard surfaces such as ceramic or porcelain tile, stone, masonry, and concrete (Corsair 2800X guide).
Reinstall the panel using its own mounting method
Use the instructions for your specific case. The examples below show why checking the model matters; they are not general instructions for other cases.

Corsair 4000- or 5000-series: tabs and thumbscrews
- Hold and support the panel while positioning it. Corsair’s instructions emphasize supporting it during removal so it cannot fall; keep supporting it while reinstalling, too.
- Connect the panel tabs to the frame as shown in the case instructions, then close the panel into position.
- Hand-tighten the thumbscrews. Do not substitute another fastener or tool unless the instructions for your exact model say to.
See Corsair’s 4000/5000-series panel instructions (updated February 29, 2024).
ASUS TUF Gaming GT501: grooves and screws
ASUS’s GT501 guidance recommends gloves and placing the case flat on a stable surface. Guide the panel into the chassis grooves, taking care to avoid collisions, falls, or undue stress, then secure it as directed in the model-specific procedure. Consult the ASUS GT501 support FAQ, last updated April 16, 2025, for the complete procedure and replacement guidance.

NZXT H710-series: bottom alignment, ball sockets, and locking screw
For the H710-series method, align the panel at the bottom first, then press it into the top ball sockets and secure it with the locking screw as directed by NZXT. Follow the NZXT H710-series instructions (updated November 9, 2024); do not assume another NZXT model uses the same mechanism.
How to tell if it is aligned
- Check the panel’s orientation and the case’s documented contact points—such as tabs, grooves, sockets, or hinge features—before applying pressure.
- Seat the panel gently and evenly, following the exact model instructions, then fit only its specified fasteners.
- If the panel shifts, catches, sits crooked, or will not seat readily, stop. Recheck its orientation and the mounting points, then consult the manual or manufacturer support page. The manufacturer procedures cited here do not establish a universal safe force or tightening torque.
If the glass is broken or missing
Look for a replacement listed for the exact case model rather than choosing glass by appearance or estimated dimensions. Corsair’s 2800X guide lists a replacement left-side tempered-glass panel, and ASUS provides a separate replacement process for the GT501. Check compatibility and ordering details with the manufacturer: Corsair 2800X guide and ASUS GT501 support FAQ. These examples do not establish a universal panel size or cross-model compatibility.
