In the United States, register an LG appliance by signing in to MyLG and choosing My LG > Products > Register a Product. Have the appliance’s serial number and its purchase price, date, and place ready. Registration gives you a convenient record for support, but it does not by itself create or extend the appliance’s warranty; the model-specific warranty and your purchase or delivery date determine coverage.
What to have ready
- The appliance’s serial number, usually printed on its product label.
- The purchase price, purchase date, and place of purchase.
- Your receipt, delivery slip, or another payment record. Keep it in case you need to establish the applicable warranty period.
- A MyLG account. If you do not have one, create it from LG USA’s product-registration page.
LG’s form may change, so use the fields shown during registration. The live form asks for purchase details and then displays product or model information for you to confirm. [LG USA product registration]

Register the appliance in MyLG
- Open LG USA’s product-registration page and sign in to MyLG, or create an account.
- In MyLG, select My LG > Products > Register a Product.
- Enter the requested serial number and purchase details, then check the product information shown by the form.
- Submit the registration. LG says a confirmation pop-up and email should appear, and the appliance information should be listed under Products in your account.
Save the confirmation and your proof of purchase. Registration makes it easier to find product information, manuals, warranty details, and repair support through your account; it is not a substitute for the warranty terms. [LG USA product registration]

Registering creates a convenient support record. LG lists benefits including access to manuals and warranty information, ownership verification for claims, and the ability to request or track repairs. The warranty itself comes from the limited-warranty terms that apply to your exact appliance. To check coverage, use LG’s warranty information page and the appliance’s owner’s manual or detailed warranty document. Coverage can differ by model and component. For example, LG’s US washer warranty document specifies different terms for labor, ordinary parts, an electronic control board, drum motor, and stainless-steel drum. Those terms are specific to that document; they are not a universal schedule for LG appliances. [LG warranty information; LG US washer limited warranty]
If the registration form or account causes trouble
The model suffix is missing
LG says some products have a suffix that may not appear in the registration form’s model listing. For example, LG gives LFDS22520S.ASTCNA0 as a full model number and LFDS22520S as the version shown on the form. Follow the live form’s product details rather than assuming the missing suffix means the appliance is ineligible. [LG registration help]

A previously registered appliance is not listed
LG says MyLG displays registrations made through LG.com, not products registered by mail or through the ThinQ app. To have the item appear in MyLG, enter its information through the LG.com registration form. [LG registration help]
You need to change account details
Use the MyLG profile or account-information area to edit your personal details and save the changes. [LG registration help]

Your password is rejected
LG’s help article says passwords must have at least eight characters and include at least three of these four types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. [LG registration help]

Some purchases may have terms beyond the standard model warranty, but eligibility and conditions matter. LG’s Costco-specific page says qualifying Costco members who buy a covered LG home appliance through Costco receive an additional year on the portion of the limited warranty that otherwise lasts one year, for two years total on that portion. Other terms stay the same, some components may already have longer coverage, and proof of purchase should be retained. This is a Costco-specific provision, not the default for all LG appliances or retailers. [LG Costco home-appliance warranty information]

If an appliance is already out of warranty, LG describes LG Direct Service as a repair option using genuine LG replacement parts. A diagnostic fee may apply and can change, so confirm current availability and price with LG. [LG warranty and service information]
Country and offer details
These steps describe LG’s US MyLG registration flow. Warranty terms, registration pages, and services can differ by country; outside the United States, use the LG website and warranty for your location.
LG’s US registration page may advertise an account welcome coupon for 20% off the pre-tax price of a first purchase of selected parts and accessories. Availability and conditions apply, and the offer is not needed to register an appliance. Check LG’s current offer details rather than relying on an old promotion. [LG USA product registration]
