To redeem Samsung Rewards points in the U.S., sign in to the Samsung Account that holds the balance. Add an eligible product to your cart on Samsung.com or in the Shop Samsung App. Then choose the Rewards option at checkout. Samsung’s terms say points can be used to “purchase, or reduce the purchase price for” eligible products while you’re logged in. This guide covers the U.S. program. Other countries have different rules, as covered below.
Steps to redeem points at checkout
- Sign in to the right account. The U.S. terms require you to be logged in to the Samsung Account tied to your Rewards balance. Check your balance and activity under My Rewards first.
- Add a qualified product to your cart. Shop on Samsung.com or in the Shop Samsung App. Eligibility and the point amount available vary, so the product and checkout screens are what count.
- Find the Samsung Rewards option at checkout. Samsung’s support FAQ says points can cover all or part of qualified products. Checkout shows the number of points and the matching discount available for that purchase.
- Review what’s left to pay. Points can’t cover shipping, taxes or other fees, so you’ll still need a payment method for those. Check the remaining balance before you submit.
- Place the order. The points are deducted from your Rewards account once checkout completes.

If the Rewards option doesn’t appear
- Wrong account: confirm you’re signed in to the account that holds the points.
- Wrong channel: use Samsung.com or the Shop Samsung App, not a third-party retailer such as Amazon.
- Ineligible product: only qualified products can be paid for with points. Don’t assume a specific model or accessory qualifies until checkout shows the option.
- Samsung Financing selected: the U.S. terms don’t allow points to reduce the price when Samsung Financing is the payment method. Switch payment methods if you want to use points.
- Wrong country: U.S. rules apply only to eligible U.S. residents, and restrictions may apply by state.
Rules that affect your redemption
Expiration and order of use
U.S. points expire at the end of the calendar month three years (36 months) after they were earned. Samsung applies the oldest points first. If you hold points that are close to expiring, redeem them before that date.

Points earned from purchases
Points earned on a purchase become usable only after the return period ends. Don’t plan a redemption around points you earned recently.

Returns and cancellations
If Samsung permits a return or cancellation, the terms say redeemed points are returned after the cancellation or a satisfactory return is confirmed. The FAQ says processing follows Samsung’s receipt and handling of the return, so restoration isn’t instant.

Outside the U.S.: rules differ
Samsung’s programs are regional, so don’t apply U.S. figures elsewhere. Samsung Canada’s FAQ states a redemption value of CAD $0.005 per point and a two-point minimum. Its program terms describe expiry after 24 consecutive months of account inactivity. That differs from the U.S. system, where expiry depends on when each point was earned. The retrieved Canadian pages showed no date. Readers in other countries should check their local Samsung site.

How to get the most from your points
- Check My Rewards for your balance and activity before you shop.
- Use points that are nearest to expiring first, since they’re applied oldest-first anyway.
- If you’d normally finance a large purchase, decide whether points or financing matters more, because you can’t combine them.
- Remember that taxes and shipping are always paid separately.
