To let Larix attempt a connection even when it does not detect network presence, enable Settings > Connections > Advanced settings > Don’t check network presence.
Reconnect Larix after Wi-Fi returns
- Reconnect your phone to Wi-Fi. Confirm the network is usable—for example, check that a page loads in a browser. A Wi-Fi icon alone does not confirm internet access.
- Enable Larix’s network-presence option. In Larix Broadcaster, open Settings > Connections > Advanced settings, then turn on Don’t check network presence. Softvelum says this allows Larix to attempt a connection when starting or resuming even if the app does not detect network presence. See the Larix FAQ.
- Return to the preview and resume or start the stream. The setting permits an attempt; it does not itself restore Wi-Fi or guarantee that the stream reconnects automatically.
If Larix still will not publish
Confirm the phone has internet access
If other apps or websites cannot connect, resolve the phone’s network connection first. Larix cannot publish to a destination it cannot reach.

Check the selected connection and destination
Make sure Larix has the intended saved connection selected and that its destination details are current. For RTMP, the URL combines the server/application address with the stream name or key. Compare Larix’s saved values with the current settings from the receiving service; do not share your stream key publicly. Softvelum’s Larix documentation reference links to Android connection setup guidance.

Larix for Android supports RTMP and SRT publishing, among other features. SRT can use Push (Caller), Listen, or Rendezvous mode, so its connection details differ from RTMP. Check the selected protocol and the receiving service’s instructions rather than assuming every Larix stream uses an RTMP URL. Softvelum lists Android 7.0 or later as the minimum supported version for Larix Broadcaster for Android on its Android app page.

Android setting versus the iOS reconnect option
Softvelum’s FAQ identifies Reconnect timeout w/o network as an iOS-specific setting. It is not the Android fix. On Android, the relevant option is Don’t check network presence under Settings > Connections > Advanced settings. Larix also lists a general Reconnect timeout setting among Advanced connections settings, but the FAQ’s iOS-only control should not be mistaken for an Android option.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is a 24/7 YouTube stream made from uploaded videos, StreamNeo is a different approach from reconnecting a phone-based Larix stream: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded video in the cloud, so no computer or home internet connection has to stay on. It streams to YouTube only and does not stream from a camera.
