If a FireShot full-page capture looks too small when printed, don’t force the entire long image onto one sheet. Open FireShot’s Print dialog, inspect the preview, and adjust scale, fit-to-page, position, and margins. If the text is still too small, try printing across multiple sheets or capture only the sections you need. Check the preview or PDF before printing; there is no universal scale that suits every page and printer.
Print a FireShot full-page capture
- Capture the whole page. In FireShot, choose Capture entire Page and… to include content beyond the browser’s visible area. FireShot also offers visible-area and selected-area captures. FireShot’s usage instructions describe these capture options.
- Open the capture’s print dialog. FireShot’s Pro manual says its Print button prints the captured contents. The manual documents scale, fit-to-page, position, and margin controls.
- Check the preview before printing. If fit-to-page compresses a long capture onto one sheet, the text may become too small. Try changing the scale or layout, then inspect the preview again. The precise labels and available controls may vary by FireShot version and print setup.
- Choose a layout that keeps the text readable. If one sheet is too small, try a larger scale across multiple sheets, or return to the capture and select only the relevant area. Check page breaks, margins, and whether the text you need remains on the printed pages.
- Print only after checking the output. You can save or print to PDF and inspect the result before using paper. PDF is a file format, not a guarantee of readable print size.
Choose between fit-to-page and larger multi-page printing

Understand the print controls and example values
The FireShot Pro manual, copyright 2016, shows controls for scale, Fit to page, position, and top, left, right, and bottom margins. Its example screenshot displays Scale: 125%, Fit to page checked, and 1-inch margins on all four sides. These are illustrative values from the manual—not a current default or a universal recommendation. Your page dimensions, paper size, printer, and software version affect the result. In general, fitting a tall capture into a limited printable area can reduce the size of the image and its text. Increasing scale can make the text larger, but may require more sheets or cause content to fall outside the printable area. Treat the preview as the deciding check rather than relying on a particular percentage.
When to use a full-page capture, selected area, or PDF
- Full-page capture: Choose it when you need content from the whole vertical webpage, including areas outside the visible browser window.
- Selected-area capture: Choose it when only one section matters and printing the entire page would make the content too small.
- PDF: Use it as an inspection or sharing step when useful, but check the layout and text size in the PDF itself. FireShot lists PDF and image formats among its output options; a file format does not determine how legible the paper copy will be. See FireShot’s product site.
Troubleshoot small or awkward printouts
- The whole page is tiny: Check whether the print layout is fitting the entire long capture onto one sheet. Test a larger scale across multiple sheets and inspect the preview.
- The preview looks different from the paper: Check the selected paper size, margins, printer settings, and page breaks. The available operating-system and printer controls depend on your setup.
- Text is clipped after increasing scale: Reduce the scale or use multiple sheets; alternatively, capture and print a smaller selected area.
- The PDF is still hard to read: Revisit the print layout or capture dimensions. Saving as PDF does not, by itself, make the content larger.
- You cannot find a documented control: The detailed print-dialog instructions come from a 2016 Pro manual, so current labels or availability may differ. Check the controls in your installed version and its print preview.
