The right method depends on your phone and the exact speaker models: supported Samsung Galaxy phones can send audio to two Bluetooth devices with Dual Audio; compatible JBL speakers can link through PartyBoost; and AirPlay 2 or other Wi-Fi speaker groups are better suited to multiple rooms. Check compatibility before trying to pair.
How do I play music on two Bluetooth speakers at once?
Start by identifying the phone or other audio source and the precise model and generation of each speaker. Ordinary Bluetooth pairing connects a source to an audio device; it does not automatically create a synchronized multi-speaker group. Use a feature explicitly supported by your devices.

- Supported Samsung Galaxy phone and two Bluetooth speakers: try Dual Audio.

Can I connect two Bluetooth speakers to my phone?
Samsung Galaxy: Dual Audio
Samsung documents Dual Audio for supported Galaxy devices. Pair both audio devices with the phone, open the Quick panel’s Media panel, and select both outputs. Samsung’s US instructions describe the feature on One UI 2 and later and specify a two-device limit: connecting a third Bluetooth device disconnects one of the paired devices. Availability and menu labels can vary by phone model and software; Samsung’s UK support page limits the feature to certain devices with Bluetooth 5.0. Check Samsung’s [c002] instructions for your region and device.

For compatible JBL models, connect your phone to one speaker over Bluetooth, then use the JBL Portable app and PartyBoost controls to link compatible speakers. This is a manufacturer-specific group, not a general way to combine any Bluetooth speakers.

JBL’s model rules matter: stereo mode requires two speakers of the same model. For example, a Flip 5 and Flip 6 cannot form a stereo pair, although JBL says Party mode is available for that combination. JBL Connect and Connect+ speakers cannot pair with each other or with PartyBoost models. Check the exact model and generation in JBL’s [c004] compatibility and setup instructions before relying on a group.
How can I play the same music in multiple rooms?
AirPlay 2 over Wi-Fi
If you use an iPhone and have AirPlay 2-enabled speakers or other devices, connect them to the same Wi-Fi network. In Control Center or the playback destination picker, select the devices you want. Apple describes this as playback on multiple AirPlay 2-enabled devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network; it is not a way to group arbitrary Bluetooth-only speakers. Apple also notes that when a Bluetooth destination moves out of Bluetooth range, playback returns to iPhone. See Apple’s [c001] iPhone User Guide for the selection steps.

Chromecast, AirPlay, or Alexa groups
Some Wi-Fi speakers support more than one multi-room platform. The JBL Authentics 300 manual documents grouping with compatible Chromecast-enabled, AirPlay, or Alexa speakers. For Chromecast grouping, it directs users to put speakers on the same home network, assign or group them in Google Home, and use the same Google login account. For Alexa multi-room, group devices on the same home network and use the same Alexa account.
The manual says that, depending on local network bandwidth, music can be streamed to up to six Chromecast-enabled speakers. That is a limit stated for this product’s instructions, not a universal cap for every Chromecast setup. Consult the [c005] JBL Authentics 300 Owner’s Manual for its platform-specific setup details.

Does LE Audio or Auracast work with Bluetooth speakers?
Potentially, but only when the source and receiving devices support the relevant feature. Google’s Android Help covers sharing audio among Bluetooth LE Audio headphones and hearing aids, joining LE Audio broadcasts, and starting an Auracast broadcast on a Samsung LE Audio device. Its stated requirements are an Android device that supports LE Audio and Bluetooth LE Audio accessories. The instructions do not establish that all Bluetooth speakers can receive these broadcasts, so verify LE Audio or Auracast support for the specific source and every receiver. The official instructions do not provide comparable latency measurements, so they cannot establish which method synchronizes best. Choose by compatibility and room layout rather than assuming that two separately paired speakers will stay in sync.

Check before you set up a speaker group
- Find the exact model names and generations. Do not infer compatibility from brand alone; JBL’s Connect, Connect+, and PartyBoost families have specific restrictions.
- Check the source-device feature. Confirm that Dual Audio, AirPlay 2, or LE Audio is supported by your phone or other source, as applicable.
- Decide whether Bluetooth or Wi-Fi fits the job. Two nearby outputs may suit Dual Audio or a compatible speaker link; multi-room playback generally calls for supported networked speakers.
- For Wi-Fi groups, confirm the network and account requirements. Follow the relevant platform’s setup: the cited JBL manual specifies same-network and account conditions for Chromecast and Alexa groups.
- Use the device-specific setup instructions. Labels, menus, and availability can differ by model, software, and region.
