Install BlueStacks 5, find Standoff 2 through Google Play inside the app player, and launch it from the BlueStacks home screen. Then use the game’s Smart Controls for keyboard-and-mouse play. The Google Play route is BlueStacks’ documented standard installation method; APK drag-and-drop is an alternative, not a requirement.
Check your PC before installing
BlueStacks publishes two different sets of requirements relevant to this setup, so do not treat them as one exact specification. Its Standoff 2 page, modified July 13, 2026, lists Windows 7 or above, macOS 11 Big Sur or above, Intel, AMD, or Apple Silicon processors, at least 4 GB of RAM, and 10 GB of free disk space.

BlueStacks’ general BlueStacks 5 system requirements article, dated August 9, 2024, gives a Windows minimum of Windows 7 or newer, an Intel or AMD processor, 4 GB RAM, 5 GB free disk space, administrator access, and current graphics drivers. It recommends Windows 10 or newer, 8 GB RAM or more, virtualization enabled, SSD storage, and broadband. The article says the latest BlueStacks features require Windows 10 or above and that Windows 7 or 8 users may use BlueStacks versions 5.21.300 and below. These are dated, version-dependent guidelines; check the current installer information for your operating system before downloading.
Because the Standoff 2-specific page asks for 10 GB free disk space while the general minimum asks for 5 GB, using the larger game-page figure is the cautious choice. Standoff 2’s own mobile-device requirements are not a substitute for BlueStacks PC requirements.

Install Standoff 2 through Google Play
- Download and install BlueStacks 5 from the official BlueStacks site. Confirm the installer supports your operating system.
- Open BlueStacks. Use the home-screen search or open the BlueStacks Store and search for Standoff 2.
- Choose the game result and select the Google Play install option. Sign in to Google Play if prompted, then let the installation finish.
- Start Standoff 2 from the BlueStacks home screen. Follow any in-game setup prompts.
BlueStacks also describes installing by downloading an APK and dragging it into the app player. That route requires you to obtain the file yourself; Google Play is the ordinary documented path and is the simpler choice for most players.
Use the keyboard-and-mouse controls
BlueStacks calls its Standoff 2 key mapping Smart Controls. The guide dated February 26, 2026 lists WASD movement and keys for actions including jumping, walking, crouching, firing, aiming, reloading, selecting weapons, using grenades, buying, defusing, picking up or throwing a weapon, opening the map, viewing the scoreboard, and chatting.

Mappings can change with game or emulator updates. If a listed key does not match what you see, open BlueStacks’ current Controls Editor or follow the prompts shown in the game rather than assuming an older mapping still applies.

- In BlueStacks, open System apps, then launch Google Play Store.
- Select the account profile, open Manage apps & device, and update Standoff 2 if an update is available.
- Launch the game again and check the current Smart Controls mapping in BlueStacks.
BlueStacks says Smart Controls require the latest Standoff 2 version, which makes updating the game a sensible first check. This does not guarantee that every control problem will be resolved; if keys still differ, inspect the live mapping and in-game prompts.

Tune performance without assuming a guaranteed frame rate
BlueStacks’ Standoff 2 performance article, dated March 5, 2024, recommends emulator CPU allocation of High (4 cores), memory allocation of Enhanced (4 GB), enabling high frame rate, and setting the emulator frame-rate slider to 90. In the game’s video settings, it recommends High video parameters and a Target FPS of 90; it also identifies Medium as its minimum recommended video setting. BlueStacks notes that the game menu may allow up to 144 FPS, but recommends 90 FPS for consistency.
Those are vendor recommendations from 2024, not a tested optimum for every PC or a promise of a particular result. Four cores and 4 GB of memory may not suit every host computer, and settings can differ by software version. If play stutters, lower graphics quality or the target frame rate and change one setting at a time so you can tell which adjustment helps.

BlueStacks’ February 2026 guide separately claims support for up to 120 FPS and suggests a CPU benchmark score of 12,000 or higher for 120 FPS without frame drops. That is a vendor claim, not a guarantee for a particular computer. The 120 FPS support mentioned in the Google Play listing refers to mobile gameplay; it does not mean an emulator will deliver 120 FPS on every PC.

What you can play
AXLEBOLT LTD describes Standoff 2 on Google Play as a free-to-play first-person action shooter. Its listing, last updated July 8, 2026, reports over 300 million installs worldwide and describes ranked matches, 5v5, 2v2, 1v1, Free-for-all, Team Deathmatch, more than 25 weapons, and cosmetic items such as skins, stickers, and charms. These are publisher listing claims and may change over time.
A keyboard and mouse are the documented PC control setup; buying a new mouse is optional, and no particular accessory is required to install or play.
