- Open the conversation where you want to play and look through its available controls or attachment options for a Games item. The reported information does not establish its exact menu location, so treat this as a check rather than a guaranteed tap sequence.
- Choose the visible game and follow the instructions shown in the app. The public setup steps and how another person joins have not been verified.
Android Authority reported these possible game names in the beta build: Word Scramble, Chess, Cup Pong, Checkers, Pool, Basketball, Four in a Row, Crazy 8s, and Darts. They are not a confirmed final selection or a promise that all users will see them.

If you don’t see Games in Google Messages
- Update Google Messages through Google Play. Google’s setup instructions explain how to install Messages and set it as the default messaging app.
- Check the conversation’s available controls again after updating. No public game-specific menu path or compatibility list has been verified.
- Do not sideload an APK, change hidden flags, or join a beta expecting that to unlock games. The available report does not establish that any of those actions provides access.
- Do not assume a new phone or accessory will help. No game-specific hardware requirement has been documented.
If the option is absent, wait for a public announcement or an app update that makes it available. The sources reviewed do not establish another supported way to enable it.
RCS requirements are separate from game availability
Google’s RCS setup guide, RCS FAQ, and RCS troubleshooting guide describe general messaging requirements, not access to games. For RCS troubleshooting, Google advises checking that Messages is the default SMS app, the phone has an internet connection, the app is updated, and Android and Google Play Services are current. RCS availability varies by carrier and region, and all participants need RCS for an RCS conversation; meeting those conditions does not guarantee access to an experimental game.

Business-chat cards and suggested actions are another separate feature: Google describes them for business conversations, not as games between personal contacts. RCS support by itself is therefore not evidence that a Games option is available.
