The easiest way to play classic Castlevania games on a modern console is to choose the collection that contains the specific game you want, then confirm that collection is listed for your console and available in your region. Konami’s Anniversary, Advance and Dominus collections cover different generations; Castlevania Requiem pairs Symphony of the Night with Rondo of Blood on PlayStation.
Choose a collection by the Castlevania games you want
| Games or era you want | Collection or route | Officially listed platforms |
|---|---|---|
| Early console and handheld games, including NES, Super NES, Game Boy and Genesis titles | Castlevania Anniversary Collection | PS4, Nintendo Switch, Steam and Xbox Series X|S |
| The Game Boy Advance games and Dracula X | Castlevania Advance Collection | Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Steam; Konami says it is compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S |
| The Nintendo DS trilogy, plus two versions of Haunted Castle | Castlevania Dominus Collection | Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam |
| Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood together | Castlevania Requiem | PlayStation Store; confirm availability for your account region |
Platform lists are not interchangeable: check the row for the game you want rather than assuming every collection is on every modern console. Konami’s pages identify platforms and included games, but do not confirm current prices or availability in every regional store.

What is included in each collection?
Castlevania Anniversary Collection: early console and handheld games
Konami’s collection includes eight games: Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: The Adventure, Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge, Castlevania Bloodlines and Kid Dracula. It also includes a bonus eBook. The collection was released on May 16, 2019, and Konami described it at launch as a digital exclusive. That launch description does not establish the physical-edition status of the other collections.
Castlevania Advance Collection: Game Boy Advance games and Dracula X
This collection brings together Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow, along with Dracula X, a 1995 Super Nintendo title. Konami’s September 23, 2021 announcement lists rewind, save/load and replay features, as well as a gallery and encyclopedia. The PlayStation and Xbox generations need a little care: Konami lists PS4 and Xbox One, and says the collection is compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

How to find the right version for your console
- Write down the game title. Match it to the included-game list above; titles from different eras are split among separate collections.
- Check the platform listing. Use Konami’s product page linked in the table to confirm the console or PC platform. For Advance Collection, distinguish its listed PS4 and Xbox One versions from its stated PS5 and Xbox Series X|S compatibility.
- Check your regional store. Open the relevant console storefront or Steam and search the exact collection name. The official platform list does not guarantee a listing, current price or purchase availability in every country.
- Choose based on convenience features if you are deciding between formats. Advance Collection advertises rewind, save/load and replay; Dominus Collection adds display-layout options for the dual-screen originals. Anniversary Collection’s cited announcement lists its games and bonus eBook but does not establish those same features.
What to know before buying
- These are collections of specific games, not a single package containing every classic Castlevania release. Match the desired title first.
- Konami’s cited pages establish game contents, listed platforms and advertised features, not current pricing or region-wide store stock.
- Requiem’s PlayStation Store route is separate from the three multi-platform collections described above; check the listing for your own account region.
