To multistream with Streamlabs Desktop, connect your destination accounts under Settings → Stream, choose the destinations in the Go Live window, enter the stream details, and select Confirm and Go Live. Streamlabs’ free Dual Output supports one vertical and one horizontal destination; streaming to three or more destinations, or to multiple destinations with the same orientation, requires Ultra according to Streamlabs’ current guidance.
Before you start
Install and open Streamlabs Desktop, sign in to the accounts you plan to use, and make sure each platform allows your account to go live. Streamlabs says TikTok LIVE requires approval for live streaming on the TikTok account. Eligibility and regional requirements differ by platform, so verify access in each destination account before scheduling or starting a broadcast.
If you are new to Streamlabs Desktop, its Getting Started with Streamlabs Desktop guide covers the initial application setup. A webcam or microphone can be part of a stream setup, but neither is required to enable multistreaming.
Connect platforms and go live
- Open stream settings: In Streamlabs Desktop, select Settings → Stream.
- Connect destinations: Link the platform accounts you want to use, or add destinations from the stream settings. Use accounts that have permission to broadcast.
- Open the Go Live window: Select Go Live and switch on the destinations for this particular session. Connecting an account does not necessarily mean you want to send every broadcast to it.
- Enter broadcast information: Add a title and description, then supply destination-specific information where requested. Categories can differ between platforms; advanced settings may expose platform-specific fields such as Twitch tags.
- Review and confirm: Check the selected destinations and their details, then choose Confirm and Go Live.
Streamlabs’ Desktop Multistream Quick Setup Guide, published April 25, 2025, describes this account-linking and Go Live flow. Exact fields can vary with destination and app changes, so use the information shown for each platform in your current Go Live window.

What the free plan allows—and when Ultra is needed
Streamlabs’ free Dual Output supports two destinations at once when one is vertical and the other horizontal. The official example is TikTok in vertical orientation alongside YouTube in horizontal orientation. The free allowance is not a general promise that any two destinations can be paired.
Streamlabs’ support guide says Ultra is required for three or more simultaneous platforms, or for multiple destinations with the same orientation. Streamlabs’ Ultra page displayed a starting price of $15.75 per month when accessed on October 3, 2026. This is a vendor-listed starting price; check the Ultra plan page for current billing terms and price before subscribing.

So, for one vertical plus one horizontal destination, try Dual Output first. If your planned combination exceeds that limit, check Ultra’s current terms and price before relying on it.
Destinations, routing, and chat behavior
Streamlabs’ current multistream page lists Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Kick, Facebook, Instagram, Patreon, X, and additional destinations through custom RTMP connections. Availability and requirements can vary by platform and account; the list does not establish that every account can stream to every destination.

Streamlabs describes its multistream service as cloud-routed: your PC sends one output to Streamlabs’ servers, which then distribute feeds to the selected destinations. Its Dual Output description distinguishes that mode by sending two outputs, one horizontal and one vertical. These are Streamlabs’ descriptions of its service architecture, not independent performance measurements or a guarantee about the bandwidth available on an individual connection.
Chat actions are not identical across destinations. Streamlabs’ current product page says you can read and post comments for YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Pages; for Kick, X, and Facebook Profiles, it describes reading chat. Confirm the exact destination and action in the app before relying on cross-platform chat posting.

Will multistreaming use more internet bandwidth?
Streamlabs says its cloud routing takes one PC output and forwards it to multiple destinations, which it describes as avoiding the extra upload bandwidth that can arise when local software separately encodes and uploads each destination. This is an explanation of Streamlabs’ routing model, not a measured guarantee for every setup. Your connection still needs to carry the output from your PC to Streamlabs, and actual performance depends on your connection and stream configuration.
Common problems and fixes
- A destination is missing or cannot be selected: Return to Settings → Stream and verify that the account is connected. Check that the platform account is permitted to go live and that the destination is available in your region.
- The free setup rejects a destination combination: Check orientation and destination count. Free Dual Output is limited to one vertical and one horizontal destination; multiple platforms of the same orientation or three or more destinations require Ultra under Streamlabs’ stated limits.
- TikTok is unavailable for live streaming: Streamlabs’ setup guidance says TikTok LIVE requires account approval. Resolve the platform-side permission issue before troubleshooting Streamlabs.
- Platform details are incomplete or wrong: Review each destination’s title, description, category, and any advanced fields in the Go Live window. Categories and metadata fields may differ by platform.
- You can read chat but cannot post to a destination: Check the specific chat action supported for that platform in Streamlabs’ current product information, then verify the connection in the app. Reading chat does not imply posting is supported.
- The stream fails after confirmation: Confirm the selected destinations are enabled for this session, recheck account permissions and destination-specific details, and consult the platform’s own live-status or account notices. The available setup guidance does not establish a single cause for every failure.

Streamlabs Desktop is for live broadcasting from your computer.
