1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTo move a tokenized stock safely, identify the exact issuer, token and blockchain first; then use a receiving wallet that supports that token on that network. A same-chain transfer is an ordinary token send. Moving between chains requires a documented route that supports the particular token and both networks. Neither operation automatically redeems the token for cash or shares, and a transfer does not guarantee that the new wallet qualifies for issuer redemption.
Before you transfer, identify the exact token
“Tokenized stock” is a broad label, not a single asset type. Before sending anything, note the issuer, product or ticker, official token contract or asset identifier, and the blockchain where it currently exists. Do not rely on a ticker or logo alone: a similarly named token, or the same product on another chain, may not be interchangeable.
Check the issuer’s current supported-network information and the receiving wallet’s documentation. The wallet must support both the token’s network and its token standard. For example, xStocks lists ERC-20 tokens on EVM-compatible networks and SPL Token-2022 tokens on Solana; support for one format does not establish support for the other. Network and product availability can change.
Choose the right route
| Route | Use it when | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Same-chain wallet transfer | The token is already on the network you intend to use, and both wallets support it there. | The receiving address is for that network, the destination can receive the exact token, and you have enough of the network’s native asset for transaction fees. |
| Cross-chain movement | You want the token on a different network. | An issuer-supported or otherwise documented bridge route explicitly supports the exact token and both the source and destination networks. |
| Issuer redemption | You are seeking cash or underlying shares rather than a token in another wallet. | The issuer’s current redemption process, eligibility rules, onboarding, wallet requirements and jurisdictional restrictions. |
A supported bridge is not a generic way to move any token between any chains. xStocks says its CCIP bridge can move xStocks between supported networks, but that does not mean every xStock and destination network is available on every route. Confirm the live route details before approving a transaction.

How to make a same-chain transfer
- Open the receiving wallet on the token’s current network. Use its receive function to obtain the address for that network. An address format that looks familiar does not prove the network is correct.
- Confirm the asset details. Match the issuer, product and official token details against the sender’s asset and the issuer’s current documentation. Confirm that the receiving wallet supports the relevant token standard.
- Enter the destination in the sending wallet. Select the same network the token is on. Carefully compare the full destination address with the address shown by the receiving wallet.
- Check the fee and transaction summary. Keep enough of the chain’s native asset to pay the network fee. Review the token, amount, network and recipient before signing. A small test transfer can be a prudent precaution when practical, but it is not a guarantee or a requirement established for every token and route.
- Save the transaction hash and verify the result. Check the transaction on an explorer for the correct network. If the token is not visible in the receiving wallet, first confirm the wallet is displaying the right network and check the official token details before considering another transfer.
How to move a token to another chain
Do not send a token on its current chain to an address on another chain expecting it to arrive there as a supported token. Use a bridge or other route documented for the exact asset and both networks. Read the route’s instructions, check the source and destination networks and asset identifiers, and review any fees and transaction details before signing. If the token or either network is not explicitly listed, stop and ask the issuer or route provider for confirmation rather than experimenting with a generic bridge.
A wallet transfer is not redemption
A valid transfer changes which address controls the onchain token; it does not itself exchange the token for cash or ordinary shares. Redemption is a separate issuer process, and access to it can depend on more than possession of the token.

xStocks describes a primary-market process that requires issuer onboarding and whitelisted wallet addresses. Its in-kind xPort process is also distinct from an ordinary send: tokens are sent from a whitelisted wallet to an issuer-designated deposit address, then the issuer processes redemption and Alpaca returns corresponding shares to a brokerage account. Follow the issuer’s specific instructions if pursuing that route; sending tokens to an arbitrary address will not initiate it.
Ondo says direct platform minting and redemption are limited to eligible users who have completed onboarding. It also says users who are ineligible or have not completed onboarding may be unable to redeem through the platform, even though onchain holdings may be transferable subject to restrictions. Do not assume that the recipient of a transfer can redeem through the same channel—or at all.

Check legal rights and eligibility separately
The token’s legal terms determine what it represents; the word “stock” alone does not establish direct ownership of ordinary shares or shareholder rights. xStocks describes its products as tracker certificates that provide economic exposure and says they do not confer shareholder rights such as voting. Its legal documentation identifies the products as certificates and points to the applicable prospectus and supplements. Ondo has separate product terms and procedures. Read the current documents for the exact product rather than applying one issuer’s terms to another.
Eligibility can also depend on the holder’s location and status. Ondo identifies its tokenized stocks as offered only to eligible non-U.S. persons and subject to restricted-jurisdiction rules; xStocks also points to restrictions and legal documentation. Check current terms before acquiring, transferring or seeking redemption. A technically possible onchain transfer does not remove a platform’s or issuer’s restrictions.

If a transfer goes wrong
- The token is not showing: Check the receiving wallet’s selected network and verify the transaction hash on the corresponding network explorer. Confirm the token’s official details before adding or selecting an asset display in the wallet.
- You used the wrong network or address: Do not send a second transaction to try to correct it. Contact the receiving wallet or service through its official support channel and provide the transaction hash; recovery depends on the destination and the service’s capabilities and is not assured.
- A bridge or redemption is pending: Use the route or issuer’s official status and support process, and retain the transaction records. Do not follow unsolicited recovery instructions.
Never disclose a seed phrase or private key to complete a transfer or obtain support. A legitimate recipient address can be shared for a transfer; wallet secrets should remain under your control.
