Coinbase Pro’s move to Coinbase Advanced is complete: Coinbase ended Pro access on web and mobile on November 20, 2023. Advanced is part of Coinbase, so former Pro customers use the same Coinbase account rather than creating a new one. If you never completed a transfer, the old Pro transfer controls may no longer be available; check your Coinbase account and contact Coinbase Support if funds appear to be missing.
What happened to Coinbase Pro?
Coinbase says it completed the phased migration to Advanced on November 20, 2023, after which Coinbase Pro was no longer supported on web or mobile and customers could no longer log in. Coinbase’s transition announcement describes the completed change.

Advanced is Coinbase’s order-book trading platform within Coinbase. You do not need a separate Advanced account: sign in with the Coinbase account you used for Pro. Coinbase says the platforms share assets, history, and balances, and that linked bank accounts and whitelisted addresses remained the same through the transition. Can you still transfer funds from Coinbase Pro?
Coinbase’s historical manual-transfer instructions were to open Portfolios, choose Withdraw, select All Portfolios, and transfer to Coinbase.com. Another version of the instructions directed customers to use the transfer banner or go through Portfolios and Withdraw. These steps applied while Pro remained accessible; since Pro access ended in 2023, they may not be usable now if you did not complete the transfer at the time. Coinbase’s manual-transfer help page documents the prior flow.
What happened to open orders?
Open buy and sell orders did not move to Advanced as live orders. Coinbase’s migration guidance says open orders were canceled; its transfer instructions also explain that funds held by open Pro orders were excluded until those orders were canceled and the transfer completed. If your balance seems short, check Coinbase for orders or order-held funds before assuming the money is lost. The migration announcement and transfer help cover these cases.

Why might a balance still be missing?
Coinbase says funds from a successful transfer were immediately available to trade. Its help page lists several reasons a balance could remain unavailable or appear incomplete:
- Open orders: Funds committed to open orders were not included until the orders were canceled and the transfer completed.
- Pending instant deposit: An instant deposit funded by ACH may remain pending until the bank transfer settles.
- Failed transfer: Coinbase advises retrying a failed transfer; if the issue persists, contact Coinbase Support.
Because the public instructions describe the former Pro process, they cannot establish the status of an individual account or transaction. Use Coinbase’s current support channels for account-specific recovery or transfer questions. Coinbase’s transfer help page lists these possible causes and next steps.

What changes when you use Advanced?
Advanced adds tools for order-book trading, including advanced order types, TradingView charts, real-time order-book and depth-chart data, and API access. Coinbase says customers can switch between standard Coinbase and Advanced while keeping their assets, history, and balances. See Coinbase’s Advanced comparison for the listed features.
Check current fees before placing an order
Coinbase’s migration guidance described Advanced as having the same low, volume-based pricing as Pro and no subscription fee. That historical description is not a current fee quote. Coinbase’s current fee information says rates depend on the product, pricing tier, and whether an order is maker or taker; pricing may change. Check the fee page for your account and review the order preview before submitting a trade. Coinbase’s Advanced fees page has the current details.
