To move files from iCloud Drive to a lifetime cloud storage service, download or copy them first, upload those copies using the destination service, and verify the results before deleting anything from iCloud. This is a one-time copy—not an ongoing sync—and shared-folder access may need to be set up again.
Before you start: choose what to move and keep a backup
Make a list of the iCloud Drive folders and files you want to transfer. Check that you can sign in to both accounts and that the destination has enough available space. If you are using a separate drive as a staging or backup copy, choose its capacity based on the files in your inventory.

Keep a separate copy while the transfer is underway. Apple recommends archiving or making copies of information stored in iCloud; its guidance is available in Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud.
Download files from iCloud Drive
Use Apple’s iCloud Drive guide to access and download the files you selected. Save them to a location you can readily find, such as a designated folder on your computer or an external drive.

A downloaded file is a separate local copy. If you edit it after downloading, the change stays on that device unless you upload the edited file back to iCloud. Downloading does not create a continuing sync relationship between iCloud and the destination service.
Upload the copies to the destination service
Sign in to the cloud service you chose and use its own upload interface to transfer the downloaded files. The exact controls vary by service, so consult its current help documentation for the supported upload method and any relevant limits.

Do not assume an upload will preserve every detail of the iCloud original. The available guidance does not establish that a destination service will automatically retain all metadata, folder permissions, or sharing settings during an import.

Verify the transfer before removing iCloud files
- Compare the folders and file names in the destination with your inventory and downloaded copy.
- Open a selection of files in the destination, including important documents and media, to confirm they work.
- Check shared items separately and confirm the people who need access can reach them.
- Keep the iCloud originals until you have checked the destination copy and any replacement sharing arrangements.
Recreate sharing access where needed
Copying a file from a shared iCloud Drive folder to another folder does not copy its sharing access, according to Apple’s iCloud Drive archive guidance. Before moving shared files, note who needs access. After uploading, use the destination service’s sharing controls to invite those people or send them the appropriate access information.

pCloud is one example of a service that markets lifetime cloud storage on its cloud storage plans page. That makes it an option to evaluate, not an automatic recommendation. The page does not establish a particular current price, capacity, refund rule, or guarantee that service will continue for a specified duration.
