To move files from iCloud Drive to Koofr, download them to a computer first, then upload them through Koofr’s web app or place them in the Koofr desktop sync folder. Check that the files are present in Koofr before deleting the iCloud originals. The documented process stages files on your computer; it is not a direct cloud-to-cloud transfer.
Choose a transfer method
| Method | What you do | Useful when | Considerations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Koofr web upload | Download from iCloud Drive, then upload through Koofr in a browser. | You want to move a selection of files without setting up desktop syncing. | Files are staged in your browser’s configured download location. Apple explains the iCloud.com download process. |
| Koofr desktop sync | Download files, then copy or move them into the Koofr folder on your computer. | You want the files to sync through Koofr’s desktop client. | Wait for syncing to finish and confirm the destination files in Koofr. Koofr documents the client and its sync folder at its desktop-client help page. |
| WebDAV | Connect Koofr as a network location and transfer files using that connection. | You specifically want to work with Koofr as a mounted location, particularly on a Mac. | Setup requires an application-specific password. Windows WebDAV has a documented default file-size limitation of 50 MB for uploads and downloads; see Koofr’s Windows WebDAV guidance. |
Move files using iCloud.com and Koofr’s web app
- Sign in to iCloud Drive on iCloud.com and select the files you want to transfer.
- Download the selection. Your browser saves the files to its configured download location; check that folder if you are unsure where they went. Apple notes that changes made to a downloaded file remain only on the device unless you upload the file to iCloud Drive again. See Apple Support’s instructions.
- Sign in to Koofr in a browser and upload the downloaded files to the destination folder you want.
- Open the destination in Koofr and confirm that the files and expected folder contents are there before removing the iCloud copies.
Move files with Koofr’s desktop sync folder
- Install and sign in to the Koofr desktop client. It creates a local Koofr folder that syncs with Koofr’s “My desktop sync” folder. Koofr’s setup details are on its desktop-client help page.
- Download the iCloud Drive files to your computer if they are not already stored locally.
- Copy the files into the Koofr sync folder. On a Mac, files already downloaded in iCloud Drive can be copied directly from Finder to this folder.
- Allow syncing to complete, then check the files and folder contents in Koofr before deleting the originals.
On Windows, Koofr warns that certain filename characters, as well as names ending in spaces or periods, can cause sync errors. If a file does not appear, check its name and the client’s sync status.

Use WebDAV when a mounted Koofr location suits your workflow
Koofr’s desktop-client instructions say that enabling the network drive in the client settings automatically configures WebDAV, and Koofr calls this its recommended setup method. WebDAV requires an application-specific password. Follow Koofr’s desktop-client WebDAV setup instructions.
On Windows, Koofr’s WebDAV help page reports a default Windows file-size limit of 50 MB for uploads or downloads through WebDAV. For files larger than that, use Koofr’s web upload or desktop client instead. The 50 MB figure applies to the Windows WebDAV route, not to every way of uploading files to Koofr.

Can Koofr import iCloud Drive directly?
Koofr’s help page for connected cloud services names Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox, but not iCloud Drive. The documented iCloud route is therefore to download files to a computer and then upload or sync them to Koofr. Koofr also notes that connected cloud services are not displayed in its desktop client. See Koofr’s connected-cloud guidance.

Check the transfer before deleting iCloud files
- Confirm the destination files are visible in Koofr and that expected folders and contents are present.
- For desktop sync, wait for the client to finish syncing before checking the Koofr copy.
- Keep the iCloud originals until you have verified the destination. This is a practical migration precaution; it does not mean either service automatically validates a transfer.
- For large transfers, allow for local disk space to stage downloaded files and use a stable internet connection. The cited support pages do not provide a transfer-time estimate or speed benchmark.
