Choose a compact display with a PC-compatible video input and a separate touch connection, test it with your computer, then fasten it to a secure point inside the case. For the examples covered here, HDMI carries video and USB carries touch; the display may also need its own power input. Measure the entire assembly and check clearances before drilling, cutting, or routing cables.
Choose a display that matches your PC
For a straightforward internal screen, look for a compact monitor that explicitly supports a computer video output and has a documented touch connection. In the cited examples, HDMI provides video and USB provides touch. Check the exact product documentation for its power input, operating-system support, dimensions, and mounting details.

These are examples, not a universal fit recommendation. Capacitive and resistive touch behave differently, and resolution, viewing angle, cable orientation, power, and driver support vary by model. BIGTREETECH describes PC touch recognition after the driver loads; that does not establish compatibility with every operating system or multi-monitor setup.
Test the display before planning a mount
- Place the display outside the case and connect its HDMI lead to an available compatible video output.
- Connect the specified USB touch lead and any separate power supply required by the display. The HDMI5 V1.0 documentation specifies a 5V DC input; do not assume its USB touch cable also powers the screen adequately.
- Start the PC and confirm that the picture appears at a supported resolution. Check that touch input reaches the intended display and that orientation and mapping are usable.
- If picture or touch does not work, check the display’s instructions for its power and driver requirements before designing or installing a bracket.
The manufacturers’ materials support PC use for these examples, but do not guarantee every operating system, graphics setup, or touch configuration.

Measure the intended location inside the case
Measure the complete assembly, not only the visible LCD. Account for the bezel, circuit board, enclosure, plugs, and the space needed to bend each cable without strain. The HDMI5’s listed product dimensions are 121 × 76 mm; that figure alone does not establish the space needed for its connectors or prove that it fits a particular case.
Check the planned position against fans, the graphics card, CPU cooler, motherboard headers, removable panels, and service access. Leave airflow paths open, keep cables clear of fan blades and sharp edges, and make sure the screen will not obstruct components that need to be removed. A separate Raspberry Pi display enclosure documents its own mounting geometry; it is not a universal PC-case template. See Argon’s enclosure information for an example of product-specific geometry.

Secure the screen without risking nearby components
Use the display’s threaded mounting points if it has them, or attach a fitted bracket or enclosure to a stable case structure. Confirm the hole spacing against both the display and the case before ordering or making a bracket. Do not rely on a loose panel or unsupported adhesive as the sole restraint for a screen that may be touched or vibrate.
- Check screw length so fasteners cannot reach or damage components behind the mounting surface.
- Keep conductive brackets and hardware from contacting exposed electronics.
- Make sure the mount supports the screen without covering required connectors or controls.
- If a case-panel cutout is necessary, mark and verify it against the actual screen, bezel, mounting points, and connector clearance before cutting. There is no universal cutout size for an unspecified case and display.
Mounting interfaces are product-specific; the cited product materials do not prescribe one bracket that fits every PC case.

Route video, touch, and power separately as required
Run HDMI from a compatible graphics output to the screen and connect the USB touch lead to a PC USB connection. Follow the exact display’s instructions for power: the HDMI5 V1.0 documentation lists 5V DC input, while the power arrangement should be verified for any other model. The available product information does not establish a universal internal USB-header adapter, cable length, or power budget.
Secure cable slack so it cannot enter a fan, rub on a sharp edge, or snag when you open the case. Leave enough service access to disconnect the screen or remove nearby components later.

Install and check the finished build
- Shut down the PC and disconnect power before working inside the case.
- Fasten the bracket or enclosure to the chosen case structure, then secure the display. Recheck screw clearance and ensure the assembly is stable.
- Route HDMI, USB, and any required power lead away from fans and sharp edges. Secure slack and confirm that access panels and components can still be removed.
- Before closing the case, inspect clearances and confirm that no cable or part blocks a fan or ventilation path.
- Start the PC and verify the image, orientation, touch mapping, and normal operation of fans and removable components.
The right bracket, cable route, and cutout depend on the exact display and case. Confirm those details on your own components rather than assuming a fit from another build.
