Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallTo switch between different games during one continuous YouTube live stream, use OBS scenes: make one scene for each game, add its capture source and audio, then switch scenes while you’re live. You do not need a capture card if you stream directly from a supported console; you need one when routing a console’s video into a computer for OBS.
Here, “mix VODs” means changing which game is shown during the broadcast. Playing previously recorded VOD files one after another is a different workflow, covered below.
Choose how to stream your games
YouTube supports both direct streaming from modern PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles and streaming through an encoder such as OBS. Direct console streaming is the simplest route when the console’s broadcast controls are enough. Use OBS when you want scenes, overlays, or production controls on a computer. YouTube describes these routes in its live-streaming guide.
| Setup | Best fit | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Direct console stream | You want to broadcast from the console without setting up a computer encoder. | The cited guidance does not establish that this route offers OBS scene composition or equivalent production controls. |
| Computer encoder with OBS | You want to switch scenes, use overlays, or manage production on a computer. | You must configure and test capture and audio sources. |
| Console routed through a capture card to OBS | You want OBS production controls while playing on a separate console. | Requires capture hardware and setup. It is not required for every console stream. |
YouTube’s guide covers direct streaming from modern consoles and encoder-based streaming. OBS documents game and video capture sources in its Sources Guide.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set up OBS scenes for each game
- Create a scene for each game. In OBS, add scenes with clear names such as “Game A,” “Game B,” “Starting,” and “Break.” A scene defines the sources shown in the stream output.
- Add the right capture source to each game scene. OBS documents Game Capture for Windows and video-capture sources, including capture cards. On other systems, choose a supported display, window, or macOS capture source. If the console is connected to the computer through a capture card, add that device’s video-capture source.
- Check audio in every scene. Confirm that the game sound and microphone are captured as intended. Watch the OBS audio mixer meters; if a device is missing or silent, check the selected audio devices and source configuration. OBS’s Quick Start Guide recommends checking the mixer and selecting devices manually when needed.
- Add optional holding scenes. Starting and break scenes give you a deliberate screen to show while preparing a game or pausing between sessions. Add only the sources you intend viewers to see.
- Set scene-switching hotkeys if useful. In OBS, assign hotkeys to switch to specific scenes. A dedicated control pad is optional; the hotkey function does not require one. For a safer transition, Studio Mode lets you prepare a scene in preview and then transition it to the live output. See the OBS Studio Overview Guide.
- Test before going live. Run a short private or local test. Check that each game appears, scene changes work, audio is correct, and overlays do not cover important gameplay. OBS recommends testing settings for a few minutes to catch problems before a broadcast.
Switch games during the broadcast
- Start the broadcast using your chosen route: the console’s direct-streaming controls or OBS as the encoder.
- When you are ready to change games, switch from the current game scene to the next one. Use the assigned hotkey, the OBS scene controls, or Studio Mode to preview and transition.
- Check the live output and audio after the switch. If you use an interstitial, move to the starting or break scene before changing sources.
- Update the stream title or game details to match the current content when appropriate. YouTube provides live-control and stream-management tools, but the cited guidance does not establish the exact current interface steps for changing game metadata mid-broadcast or guarantee that every viewer-facing surface updates immediately.
If you mean prerecorded VOD files
Switching between live game captures is not the same as rebroadcasting recordings. OBS has media sources and supports playlists when VLC is installed, but the cited OBS and YouTube guidance does not establish complete current steps or YouTube’s treatment for rebroadcasting prerecorded gameplay. Do not assume that a file playlist follows the same workflow or rules as changing live capture scenes.
Copyright and live-stream interruptions
YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party content. If third-party material remains after a warning, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. For licensed third-party material, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; holding a license alone may not prevent an interruption. If you archive a live stream, YouTube says Content ID claims on that archive are made after the stream ends. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Choosing a different game scene, muting a VOD track, or having a license does not automatically prevent enforcement. Check the rights for game audio, music, and any other third-party material you include.
Troubleshoot common scene-switching problems
- The game is missing or black. Check that the scene contains the intended capture source and that it targets the correct game, window, display, or capture device. For console video routed through a computer, confirm the capture-card source is selected.
- The game appears, but its sound does not. Check the relevant source and OBS audio mixer, confirm the intended device is selected, and verify audio in a short test before returning live.
- A hotkey switches to the wrong scene or does nothing. Review the scene assigned to that hotkey in OBS and test it before the broadcast. You can also select the scene directly in OBS.
- A transition exposes the wrong screen. Use Studio Mode to inspect the next scene in preview before sending it to the live output, and check that the scene contains only the sources you intend to show.
- The stream is interrupted after a content warning. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance and address the third-party content. If it is licensed, ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting; a license by itself may not prevent interruption.
Or let it run in the cloud
OBS is the do-it-yourself option for switching between live game captures. If your goal is instead to keep uploaded videos looping as a 24/7 YouTube stream, StreamNeo is a separate cloud service: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera or switching between live game captures.
