The instructions below are for the legacy V.I.A. Plus interface documented for Vizio’s D32-D1 family; they should not be treated as the menu path for every SmartCast or VIZIO OS television. Check your model number and manual first if your screen or remote looks different.
Check your Vizio TV’s platform before managing apps
Vizio televisions have used different smart-TV interfaces over time. The Vizio D32-D1 user manual describes V.I.A. Plus, an online-content platform, and requires high-speed internet for product updates and online content. Vizio’s support site has separate help areas for VIZIO OS (SmartCast), firmware, manuals, and remotes, so the right instructions depend on the exact television.

For model-specific help, start at Vizio Support and locate the manual for your TV. If the interface or remote differs from the steps below, do not assume the legacy V button sequence applies.
How to open the V.I.A. Plus app window
On the D32-D1’s V.I.A. Plus interface, press the remote’s V button twice to open the full-screen V.I.A. Plus Apps Window. The app dock launches apps, while the full-screen window provides access to stored apps. Remote app-launch keys can vary by model.

How to add an app to a Vizio TV
- Open the full-screen Apps Window by pressing the V button twice.
- Use the tabs to find the app, then highlight it.
- Press and hold OK until the screen confirms that the app was added to My Apps. A star appears on the app icon after installation.
How to delete an app on a Vizio TV
- In My Apps, highlight the app you want to remove.
- Press and hold OK to open its options.
- Choose Delete, then choose Delete again in the confirmation dialog.
An app with a small lock icon cannot be deleted using this method.
How to move apps on a Vizio TV
- Highlight the app and press and hold OK to display its options.
- Use the arrow buttons to move it to the desired position.
- Press OK to place it. Only apps on the first page appear in the app dock.
Why can’t I find an app on my Vizio TV?
The D32-D1 manual cautions that app location, appearance, and availability may change without notice. Confirm your TV model and platform, then check the app library available on that television. An app missing from the library may not be offered for your model or platform.

If the service is not available on the TV, an external streaming device may be an alternative. Before buying one, check that it is compatible with your TV’s inputs and that it supports the app you want; compatibility is not guaranteed for every device and television combination.

Use the manual for your exact model rather than relying on legacy V.I.A. Plus steps. If you need a replacement remote, confirm that it is compatible with the TV model: app-launch buttons differ across Vizio remotes. Vizio’s support portal provides access to manuals, firmware help, and remote-related support at support.vizio.com.
