To manage Apple Cash alerts, open Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Notifications. To hide sensitive details on the Lock Screen, use iPhone’s notification settings instead. Neither change deletes Apple Cash transaction history in Wallet; turning Apple Cash off is a separate, broader setting.

Change Apple Cash-related Wallet notifications
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
- Tap Notifications and adjust the available notification controls.
Apple identifies Notifications and Apple Cash as separate settings. The Notifications page is for notification controls; Apple’s guidance does not establish a dedicated setting to silence only payment-received alerts. If you do not see the exact option described elsewhere, use the settings available on your installed iOS version rather than assuming that a per-transaction switch exists.
Hide Apple Cash notification details on the Lock Screen
If the concern is that someone might see transaction details, adjust how iPhone presents notifications rather than turning off Apple Cash. Go to Settings > Notifications, select the relevant app, and review whether notifications are allowed and where alerts appear. To reduce Lock Screen exposure, review the preview options and choose a setting that does not show notification contents there. The exact labels and choices can vary by iOS version; Apple’s notification guide describes the available controls.

Hiding previews changes what is visible on the Lock Screen; it does not erase or anonymize the underlying transaction entry.
Turn Apple Cash off only if you want to disable the service
Apple Cash has its own on/off control under Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay. This is broader than muting alerts or hiding previews: it changes whether Apple Cash is enabled, rather than merely changing how a notification appears. Consult Apple’s Wallet & Apple Pay settings guide for the controls shown on your device.

Review Apple Cash activity or request a statement
View transactions in Wallet
- Open the Wallet app and tap your Apple Cash card.
- Review Latest Transactions.
- Tap a transaction to see its details.
Apple says person-to-person transaction entries can display a name, phone number, or email address. Notification settings do not remove those records from Wallet.

- In Wallet, open the Apple Cash card.
- Tap More > Card Details > Request Transaction Statement.
- Confirm the email address associated with your Apple Account.
Apple says the PDF statement covers the last 12 months and is sent to that email address. See Apple’s Apple Cash support guidance for transaction and statement details.

Apple Cash is available in the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, subject to eligibility requirements. Apple identifies Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC, as the provider of Apple Cash services, and Apple Payments Services LLC as a service provider for Green Dot Bank. Apple Payments Services LLC should not be described as a bank. For current eligibility conditions, consult Apple’s Apple Cash guidance.
Apple advises: “Apple Cash person-to-person payments are like any other private transaction between two people, so only send and receive money with people you know.”
