Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesYou can’t publish a completed YouTube Live replay as a separate archive while that same stream is still running. To help late arrivals catch up, enable DVR in YouTube Studio: viewers can pause and rewind within the live broadcast, potentially back to its beginning. The separate replay becomes available only after the stream ends, if YouTube archives it.
Replay and DVR are different
DVR is a control for watching the broadcast that is live now. It lets viewers pause, rewind and resume within the stream; it does not create a separate recording or make a completed replay available early. YouTube describes the DVR controls in its guidance on turning on DVR for live streams.

A replay or archive is the recording associated with the stream after it has ended. YouTube says a channel may post a replay or highlights once a live stream is over (Learn about live streams).

If the stream is already live
You can switch DVR on or off during a broadcast. The change applies to viewers who start playback afterward; it does not update the experience for people already watching. Ask late arrivals to seek backward in the live player. They can rewind only as far as the start of the broadcast, not to a time before it began.
Limits to keep in mind
DVR may be limited or unavailable on very long streams, particularly beyond 12 hours, and the available controls can depend on the playback device. If viewers cannot rewind, they may be watching on a device or stream for which DVR controls are limited, or the broadcast may be too long.

Make the separate archive available after the stream ends
- Let the prerecorded program finish, then stop the live stream.
- After the broadcast has ended, look for its recording in YouTube Studio’s Live tab.
- Manage the archive’s visibility in Studio as needed.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, while streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured (Archive live streams). YouTube does not specify an exact processing delay, so don’t promise viewers that the replay will appear immediately.

A local recording can protect you if the YouTube archive is missing or incomplete, but it cannot make YouTube publish the replay while the broadcast is still running. YouTube recommends keeping a local archive and checking that the local recording file is growing during the stream. See its live streaming tips.
