To run your own cartoons as a continuous YouTube Live broadcast, send a repeatable playlist of your videos to YouTube through an encoder or a cloud streaming service. A regular YouTube upload by itself is not a live stream. You can run the encoder on a computer you keep on, or use StreamNeo to loop uploaded videos from the cloud.
Check that your channel can go live
YouTube’s encoder-based live-streaming guidance says a channel must be verified and must have had no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. YouTube also states a minimum age of 16 for live streaming. Check your channel’s current eligibility in YouTube Studio before preparing a long broadcast; a restriction can prevent you from starting or maintaining it. These are YouTube Help requirements as accessed October 3, 2026.
YouTube’s help page lists limits of 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key, applying at the same time. These are concurrent-stream limits; they do not establish a maximum duration or guarantee for a single 24/7 broadcast.
Choose how to keep the cartoon feed running
Run an encoder on your own computer
You can use streaming software such as OBS to send a program feed to YouTube. The computer running the encoder, the source files, and the internet connection all need to remain available for the broadcast to continue. This gives you direct control over playback and lets you inspect the local setup, but a powered-off computer or interrupted home connection can stop the feed. OBS’s official help portal includes streaming guidance; check its current documentation for playlist and looping controls rather than assuming a particular menu or setting.

Use a cloud service
A cloud host can play uploaded videos without requiring your home computer to stay on. Compare a service’s cost with the hardware and electricity involved in local hosting, and check its storage, playlist controls, recovery behavior, and monitoring options before committing. Prepare a repeatable cartoon program
- Choose the episodes and order. Gather the cartoons you have the right to stream, then arrange them as a playlist or repeatable sequence in the encoder or hosting service you choose.
- Check every asset. Confirm that you can use the animation, music, sound effects, voices, and any inserted clips in a public live broadcast. Keep your original files and a copy of the planned sequence.
- Set up the encoder or host. Follow its current documentation to make the selected video sequence the outgoing program feed. The exact playlist and repeat controls vary by software and service; verify that playback continues from the end of the sequence instead of stopping.
- Open YouTube’s live encoder setup. Use the current live-stream setup in YouTube Studio to create or select the broadcast and connect the encoder using the stream key and connection details YouTube provides. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it, share it publicly, or include it in screenshots.
- Connect and check the feed. Start the encoder or cloud stream, then inspect YouTube’s live dashboard to confirm that it is receiving the intended cartoon feed before relying on it to run continuously.
- Monitor the broadcast. Check the live dashboard and the playback system while the stream is running. Keep the source videos and playlist available so you can restore or rebuild the program if something goes wrong.
Use a secure connection and YouTube’s current settings
YouTube documents RTMPS as a secure method for live ingestion. Use the protocol and connection details shown in YouTube Studio and supported by your encoder or host. The exact video settings you should choose depend on your source files, encoder, and YouTube’s current guidance. Clear the rights to cartoons and music
YouTube requires live content to follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and its live scanning can detect third-party content and interrupt a stream. Using a licensed song or clip does not necessarily prevent a disruption: the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Original cartoons and fully cleared audio and visual assets are the safest choice for a continuous broadcast. Keep records of permissions and licenses, and ask the relevant rights owner about Content ID allowlisting when applicable.
What to check if the stream stops or shows the wrong video
- You cannot start a live stream: Check whether the channel is verified and whether it has had a live-streaming restriction in the past 90 days. Also confirm that you meet YouTube’s stated minimum age requirement.
- YouTube is not receiving the feed: Check that the encoder is running, the stream key and connection details match the active setup in YouTube Studio, and the internet connection is available. If you exposed the key, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder with the new one.
- The cartoon sequence stops at the end: Recheck the playlist or repeat controls in your chosen software or host. Loop behavior is implementation-specific; confirm it with the current product documentation and by watching the feed.
- The broadcast is interrupted after a copyright match: Identify the matched material and resolve the rights issue. A license alone may not stop a Content ID interruption unless the rights owner allowlists your channel.
- The stream is live but the wrong content is playing: Check the selected source and playlist order in the encoder or host, then verify the outgoing picture in YouTube’s live dashboard.
