Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo run a 24/7 YouTube reggae radio channel, clear the rights to every recording for the territories you serve, prepare and verify your YouTube channel, then send a continuous audiovisual broadcast through an encoder. Test it as an unlisted stream before launch and plan how playback will recover from power, network, or stream interruptions. You can run the encoder on a local computer or use a cloud service that loops uploaded videos.
1. Make sure your channel can livestream
- Verify your YouTube channel and check that it has no live-streaming restriction from the past 90 days.
- If this is the channel’s first livestream, enable live streaming at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast. YouTube for Artists gives this as guidance for music creators.
- Before announcing a launch, create a private or unlisted test stream. Confirm that you can start and stop the broadcast and that the channel’s stream settings are available.
2. Clear the music rights before scheduling tracks
Owning a copy of a reggae recording, buying it, or having permission to play it in another setting does not by itself establish permission to broadcast it continuously on YouTube. Rights depend on the recordings, uses, and territories covered by the agreements. YouTube for Artists advises creators planning to use copyright-protected music during a livestream to coordinate with their label or distributor to avoid problems such as copyright strikes.
Build a track-by-track rights record
For each recording, document who controls the relevant rights, which territories and uses are covered, whether continuous YouTube livestreaming is permitted, and whether the rights owner or distributor will add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Confirm the terms directly with the relevant rights holders; platform guidance is not a substitute for licensing advice specific to your country and repertoire.
Understand what can happen during a broadcast
YouTube Help says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including another live broadcast. If a match is detected, YouTube may replace the video with a placeholder, warn you, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. Ask the rights holder or distributor how allowlisting works for your specific arrangement.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
3. Choose how the continuous broadcast will run
You need a playback source, an audiovisual output, and an encoder or service that sends the stream to YouTube. YouTube says encoder streaming offers more customization and control than mobile or webcam streaming. Decide where that encoder will run before buying hardware.
Run an encoder on a local computer
A local setup gives you control of the machine and its playback workflow. It also means the computer, power, and internet connection at that location need to remain available, and someone should have a plan for restarting playback or the encoder after a failure. A dedicated computer or mini PC is optional; YouTube’s cited guidance does not prescribe a particular machine or minimum hardware configuration.

Use hosted infrastructure
Hosted infrastructure separates the encoder from your home workstation, but it adds hosting costs and remote administration. The available platform guidance does not establish that hosted encoding is categorically more reliable than a local computer. Compare the options by cost, recovery process, monitoring, bandwidth, and the technical work you can manage.
4. Assemble the stream and configure the encoder
- Prepare the programme. Choose the recordings you have permission to broadcast and make a visual presentation for the stream. Keep artwork, labels, artist names, and song information accurate to the recordings and metadata you have.
- Create the YouTube livestream. In YouTube’s live-streaming workflow, create or schedule a stream and retrieve its stream key and connection details. Treat the key as a credential: do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Connect the encoder. Enter the YouTube stream key and connection details in the encoder. YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends RTMPS, the secure extension of RTMP.
- Match the output to your programme. Choose the resolution and frame rate you actually intend to send. YouTube’s recommended encoder settings vary by resolution and frame rate, so use the current recommendation for your chosen output rather than assuming one bitrate fits every stream. The cited guidance does not establish a universal numeric bitrate or a hardware specification for this use case.
- Start with an unlisted test. Check that audio is present and clean, the picture moves as intended, and the stream health indicator remains healthy. Listen and watch for a meaningful interval, including changes between tracks or visuals, rather than checking only the opening moment.
- Go public only after the test. Confirm the stream title and schedule, start the broadcast, and check the live output from a separate viewer session.
5. Plan for uninterrupted operations
A 24/7 schedule needs more than a working encoder at launch. Decide who will notice a failure, how playback and the broadcast will be restarted, and what happens if the local network or power goes down. If encoding locally, account for the machine and connection staying available; if hosted, plan who can access and administer the remote system. Do not promise continuous availability unless your setup and monitoring can support that claim.

- Keep a documented recovery procedure for playback and the encoder.
- Check stream health after launch and when changing the playlist or visual programme.
- Have a response plan for copyright notices or interruptions, and contact the relevant rights holder if a properly licensed track is matched.
- Review current YouTube channel eligibility and feature availability before planning revenue. YouTube describes ads, Supers, and shopping features for live streams, but eligibility and earnings are not guaranteed for a new channel.
6. Set realistic audience expectations
YouTube for Artists reported that “over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025 alone.” That is platform-wide audience context, not a reggae-specific audience share, a forecast for a new channel, or a guarantee of reach. Build the schedule and presentation around the listeners you can actually serve, and evaluate performance from your own channel analytics after launch.
