You can keep rain sounds playing on a YouTube channel from India by sending a licensed or original audio-and-video feed through an encoder connected to YouTube Live Control Room. For a reliable setup, verify that the channel can stream, prepare rights-cleared audio and visuals, test the upload connection, and monitor the public stream. One continuous 24-hour session has an important replay limitation: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, so a full-day stream should not be assumed to produce one complete replay.
What you need for a 24/7 rain stream
The standard do-it-yourself setup is an encoder on a computer, the YouTube stream URL and key, and a rain-sounds track paired with a still image or video loop. The encoder sends that feed to YouTube; your computer, power, and internet connection must remain available for the broadcast to continue.
- A YouTube channel that is eligible to live stream.
- An encoder capable of sending audio and video to YouTube. YouTube supports encoder streaming for custom production workflows.
- Original or properly licensed rain audio and visuals, with rights covering livestreaming and any replay you intend to keep.
- A dependable upload connection with enough capacity for the feed plus headroom.
- A plan for monitoring the broadcast and handling interruptions, transitions, and replay needs.
Check whether your channel can go live
YouTube’s prerequisites say the channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the person streaming must be at least 16. Check the current status in YouTube Studio before preparing the stream. A creator whose channel is restricted cannot use another channel to get around that restriction. YouTube’s live-streaming prerequisites
Choose the audio and visuals, and clear the rights
Use rain recordings and visuals you created yourself or have permission to use for the intended purpose. YouTube’s terms make the creator responsible for obtaining the rights needed for worldwide use of material in a live stream, including relevant music rights. Check that a license expressly allows livestream transmission and, if you plan to retain a replay, archive use too. Calling a track “royalty-free” does not by itself establish that those uses are covered. Keep copies of licenses and permissions.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A distinctive soundscape, original artwork, animation, or rain footage you recorded can make the channel’s work more recognizably its own. That is a creative choice, not a promise of monetization approval: YouTube reviews a channel’s content and context.
Create the YouTube stream and connect your encoder
- Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a live stream. Use the Live Control Room to set up the broadcast and its public-facing details.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key from the stream settings. Enter both in your encoder’s YouTube or custom RTMP destination fields. Treat the key like a password: do not show it in a screen recording or share it publicly.
- Set up the rain audio and visual loop in the encoder. Confirm that the audio is audible and the image or video is the material you intend to broadcast.
- Start the encoder feed and wait for the Live Control Room preview. Check the video, sound level, and stream status before making the broadcast public or beginning the scheduled event.
- Check the public watch page on another device. Confirm that playback works and that the audio and image are acceptable on mobile as well as on your production screen.
- Monitor the stream while it runs. Watch for encoder warnings, network instability, audio dropouts, or an ended broadcast; verify the live output rather than assuming that a successful encoder start means viewers can receive it.

Plan for a 24-hour presence and replay limits
YouTube’s encoder guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not establish that a single stream running 24 hours will yield one complete replay. If replay completeness matters, plan shorter consecutive sessions and check the current Studio behavior before relying on the archive. Shorter sessions make the handoff and monitoring your responsibility, and a separate local capture may be needed if you need a complete recording.
| Approach | Replay implications | Operational trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| One long continuous encoder session | YouTube’s stated automatic archive behavior applies to streams under 12 hours; do not assume a full 24-hour replay will be available as one complete archive. | Fewer planned restarts, but replay handling and continuity are less certain for a full-day session. |
| Consecutive shorter sessions | Sessions kept under 12 hours align with YouTube’s stated automatic archive threshold; confirm the current Studio behavior and archive results. | Allows planned checks and breaks, but requires transitions and active management to maintain a near-continuous public presence. |
If you need an unbroken public channel presence and a complete recording, treat those as separate goals: plan the live transitions, and arrange a local recording workflow for the full-length capture. Platform behavior can change, so confirm the current options in Studio before scheduling.

Keep the feed stable from India
YouTube recommends that total stream bitrate fit within the available upload bandwidth, with 20% headroom. It also recommends a reliable network; as YouTube puts it, “A disruption on your connectivity could mean a broken stream.” Test upload capacity at the actual streaming location, avoid other activity that consumes the connection, and watch the stream’s health and public playback. YouTube Help: recommended encoder settings and network guidance
- Test the connection at the time and place you plan to stream; household or shared-office upload capacity can vary.
- Keep the encoder computer and network equipment powered for the planned duration. A UPS may help with brief local power loss if its runtime suits the equipment load, but it does not fix an internet outage.
- Where practical, plan backup connectivity and decide how you will restart or reconnect if the feed stops.
- Do not assume a particular resolution or bitrate is right for your connection. YouTube’s exact recommendations depend on stream settings; use its current encoder guidance and test the actual output.
Can rain sounds livestreams be monetized?
Going live does not automatically earn revenue. YouTube’s India-localized YPP guidance lists ad-revenue eligibility at 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 qualified public watch hours on long-form content in the preceding 365 days or 10 million qualified Shorts views in the preceding 90 days. Eligibility also depends on acceptance into the YouTube Partner Program, residence in an eligible country or region, and other requirements. These thresholds are not a guarantee of acceptance or access to every feature; check the Earn tab for the channel’s current options. The current YPP overview also announces policy updates starting February 1, 2027, so confirm the terms when applying. YouTube Partner Program overview for India

For accepted YPP partners who accept the Watch Page Monetization Module, YouTube says Watch Page ad and Premium revenue can apply to live-stream videos. Fan-funding features have separate requirements, including age and country or feature availability. YouTube Help: monetization features
YouTube’s July 15, 2025 policy update renamed “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content” to clarify its coverage of repetitive or mass-produced material. The monetization policy applies to live streams and excludes content it considers mass-produced, generic, repetitive, or manipulative. A static loop built from commonly reused rain audio may therefore face monetization risk even if you have permission to use the track. Original recordings, visuals, and a meaningful channel identity may help demonstrate distinctiveness, but no format guarantees approval. YouTube channel monetization policies
