Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →To run a 24/7 Gurbani stream on YouTube, prepare a rights-cleared audio-and-video feed, connect an encoder to a YouTube live stream, then keep the encoder and internet connection running while monitoring stream health. YouTube’s documented broadcast setup also lets a continuous broadcast stay live while you create and finish a separate, shorter event from the same incoming stream.
Before you start
- Confirm live access: YouTube currently requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction in the past 90 days. Its Help guidance sets the minimum age for live streaming at 16. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements for the current rules.
- Choose the program: Decide whether the stream will use a live performance, a recording, or another permitted source, and what viewers will see while it plays.
- Secure rights: Clear the actual recordings, performances, visuals, and any other protected music. A devotional subject or traditional text does not by itself establish that a particular recording can be rebroadcast.
- Plan continuous operation: The encoder, computer or streaming service, power, and internet connection must continue operating. Decide who will notice and respond if the feed stops or YouTube issues a warning.
YouTube does not set one minimum computer specification for every encoder and media workload. Choose hardware only after selecting an encoder and checking its requirements; a fixed, dedicated computer is an option, not a YouTube requirement.
Clear rights for the Gurbani recordings
Gurbani as a subject and the rights to a particular sound recording or performance are separate questions. Get permission from the relevant rights owner for the recording and any other protected music or visuals you plan to use; this article cannot determine the rights status of a specific shabad, performance, or recording.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including content in another live broadcast. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; content that remains can result in temporary interruption or termination. Even when you have a licence, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube for Artists advises: “If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes.” See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and YouTube for Artists.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set up the continuous broadcast in YouTube Studio
- Open Live Control Room: Sign in to the eligible channel, select Create > Go live, and choose the encoder workflow. Follow the on-screen prompts to create or select the viewer-facing broadcast.
- Create or select the incoming stream: YouTube treats the incoming feed and the viewer-facing broadcast as separate resources. A stream contains the audio/video delivery settings; a broadcast is the event viewers watch. Select an existing stream or create one, then use the ingestion details YouTube displays.
- Copy the encoder connection details: In Live Control Room, copy the stream’s ingestion address and stream key (YouTube’s API calls the key the stream name). Enter them in the encoder’s YouTube or RTMP/RTMPS destination fields. Treat the key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send a feed to your stream. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Check simultaneous-stream limits: YouTube’s current Help guidance lists up to 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key. Keep within the limits shown for your channel.
YouTube’s Live Streaming API documents RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, and DASH ingestion, with primary and optional backup ingestion addresses. Use the protocol and endpoint shown for your selected stream; the backup address is an ingestion option, not a guarantee that your encoder or internet connection will fail over automatically. See the liveStreams resource reference for stream-resource details.
Configure the encoder and test the feed
- Choose a supported output: Set the encoder’s video resolution, frame rate, codec, and audio settings to options supported by YouTube. Use YouTube’s current live encoder settings table for the bitrate range and format appropriate to that output; the suitable bitrate depends on resolution, frame rate, and the connection’s sustained upload capacity.
- Set keyframes and bitrate behavior: For RTMP/RTMPS, YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and constant bitrate encoding. Its settings table says the interval should not exceed four seconds. Match these settings in the encoder rather than assuming its defaults are appropriate.
- Use RTMPS where available: YouTube recommends RTMPS for RTMP-based streaming. Select the secure RTMPS endpoint if YouTube provides one for the stream.
- Test with representative material: Send a test using the actual type of audio and video you intend to broadcast. Confirm the picture, Gurbani audio levels, sync, and any on-screen artwork or text; check Live Control Room’s stream-health indicators before relying on the setup.
- Start the encoder and confirm receipt: Start sending the feed, then verify that YouTube receives it and that the broadcast preview and health status are acceptable before making the event public or beginning the ongoing schedule.
Use YouTube’s live settings guidance at setup time: recommended bitrates and supported formats can change. Do not raise the bitrate beyond what the internet connection can sustain continuously.

Keep the channel live around the clock
- Start the encoder and the continuous YouTube broadcast, then keep the encoder sending the prepared program.
- Monitor the video, audio, connection, and YouTube stream-health status. Arrange a person or alerting process to respond to a failed encoder, power loss, internet outage, or rights warning.
- If you also need a shorter event, create a separate broadcast and bind it to the same incoming stream where YouTube’s workflow allows. YouTube’s API example shows a 24/7 broadcast and a simultaneous shorter broadcast; completing the shorter event does not require stopping the continuous feed.
This API pattern explains how broadcasts can be organized; it does not promise uninterrupted service. YouTube reports stream health, but the cited guidance does not establish a particular uptime or provide a complete redundancy plan. A second ingestion address alone does not protect against a failed encoder, power, or network.
