To run a 24/7 devotional stream on YouTube with separate music and visual playlists, clear the rights for every recording, prepare an independent audio playlist and looping visual, then send both through one encoder to a YouTube Live broadcast. Test track changes and the visual loop before going public, and keep monitoring the stream after launch.
1. Clear the rights for every recording
Before building the playlist, confirm that you have written permission to livestream each specific recording continuously, in the territories you intend to reach, and with monetization if you plan to monetize. A devotional composition may be traditional or public domain, but that does not automatically clear a modern recording, arrangement, or performance.

YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. A match can cause a placeholder to appear, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. If you have a license, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; YouTube notes that a licensed stream may still be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted.

- Confirm that continuous public livestreaming, your intended territories, and any planned monetization are covered.
- Do not assume that a personal music-streaming subscription or a purchase for private listening grants public rebroadcast rights.
- Keep copies of licenses and written permissions accessible in case a claim or restriction needs to be reviewed.
2. Build the audio playlist and visual loop separately
Keep the music and picture as independent sources. The encoder combines them into one outgoing audiovisual feed: the visual can repeat while the longer music playlist advances. YouTube viewers receive one live stream, not separate audio and video broadcasts.

Prepare the music list
Arrange or shuffle cleared tracks in the order that suits the program. Listen through the files and their transitions before scheduling the stream. Check for abrupt loudness changes, silence, clipping, damaged files, unwanted tags, and inappropriate metadata. There is no universal minimum playlist duration; choose enough material to suit the intended rotation and avoid a return pattern that feels unsuitable for your audience.
Prepare the visual loop
Choose a visual you have the right to use, such as an original devotional illustration or landscape. Use a short loop if appropriate, and inspect the opening and ending frames together so the repeat does not create an obvious jump. Check that the picture remains suitable throughout the program.

3. Create the YouTube Live destination and connect an encoder
- Create the destination: In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and open its stream connection details. The exact labels can change; use the current live-control workflow in Studio.
- Choose an encoder: Select a local encoder running on a computer or server you can keep on, or a cloud encoder that runs prepared files on a service-managed worker. No particular physical product is mandatory for the separate-playlist workflow.
- Add both sources: In the encoder, select the devotional audio list and the visual loop as separate inputs. Set the audio to continue through the playlist while the visual repeats.
- Connect YouTube: Enter or authorize the YouTube destination using the connection details requested by the encoder. Treat the stream key as a secret: do not share it or publish it, and reset it if it is exposed.
- Start and verify: Start the encoder feed, then confirm in YouTube Studio that the incoming stream is healthy before making the broadcast public.
YouTube’s Live Streaming API distinguishes the incoming liveStream resource, which carries delivery settings, from the liveBroadcast resource viewers watch. Google documents a 24/7 feed as a use case. The distinction is useful when troubleshooting: the encoder sends a feed, and YouTube associates that feed with the viewer-facing broadcast.

HLS is a specific ingest route, not a universal checklist
If your encoder uses HLS ingest, Google’s HLS delivery guidance specifies muxed audio and video in M2TS, supported H.264 or HEVC video, AAC audio, and persistent HTTPS connections. These requirements apply to that HLS route; do not apply them as a general creator checklist when using a different supported ingest method or encoder.

4. Test the complete program before public launch
Run an unlisted or private test when available. Watch the visual loop repeat and listen through several track transitions rather than checking only the first minutes.
- Confirm audio plays continuously, at an appropriate level, without clipping or unexpected silence.
- Check that playlist transitions are clean and that the visual repeats as intended.
- Review YouTube Studio’s stream-health indicators and any copyright or policy warnings.
- Verify that the correct broadcast is selected and that its visibility and scheduling are what you intend.
5. Keep monitoring after the stream starts
A cloud worker can remove dependence on a computer and home internet connection, but it does not remove the operator’s responsibility to review the program. Check track changes, sound, visual continuity, and stream health after launch. If YouTube flags third-party content, address the warning promptly; persistent matches can interrupt or terminate a live stream. If the feed stops, inspect YouTube Studio for restrictions or strikes and check the encoder’s status and destination connection.

For a local encoder, the computer or server, playback process, and network connection must remain available for the continuous feed.
