To loop a prerecorded Tamil sleep meditation on YouTube Live, add the video to an OBS Studio scene as a Media Source, enable Loop, then send OBS’s encoder feed to YouTube’s Live Control Room. You must keep the computer, OBS, and internet connection running for this do-it-yourself method; the repeated playback comes from the encoder, not from YouTube replaying the upload.
Prepare the meditation and check your rights
Finish and test the recording before setting up the broadcast. Mix the Tamil narration, music, and visuals into a stable video file, keep a local copy, and listen through the end-to-start transition. OBS supports common local video and audio formats, but a seamless loop is not guaranteed for every codec, computer, file, or scene setup. OBS Project’s Media Sources guide describes the available source options and their loop controls.

- Use audio and visuals you created or have permission to broadcast. A music licence does not by itself establish that the complete meditation is original for YouTube monetization purposes.
- Decide whether the visual should also repeat. If you want still imagery while audio continues, use a finished audiovisual file or test the separate sources in your scene; confirm the result rather than assuming they will behave as intended.
- Choose a resolution and frame rate that suit the source and your tested upload capacity. A higher setting is not useful if the connection cannot sustain it.
Enable YouTube Live and protect the stream key
YouTube says a channel must be verified and have no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days to stream. First-time live activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s guide to creating a live stream with an encoder.
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and open the Live Control Room’s stream settings.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown there into OBS’s streaming settings. YouTube describes stream keys as “like your YouTube stream’s password and address.” Treat yours as a credential: do not share it, show it on screen, or include it in a recording. Reset it if you think it has been exposed. Details are in Manage live stream settings.
- Set the title, description, language and audience details as appropriate, then choose public, private or unlisted visibility. Scheduling can make an upcoming stream visible to subscribers. YouTube says tags have little discovery effect except for commonly misspelled terms.
Set up the loop in OBS Studio
Loop one meditation file
- Open OBS and create or select the scene for the broadcast.
- In the Sources panel, select + and add Media Source.
- Choose the local meditation file, then enable Loop in the source properties. OBS says the file plays again after it reaches the end.
- Preview the scene and listen through the loop boundary. Check that the image, narration and any music restart as intended.
Loop a playlist of clips
For multiple clips, add VLC Video as a source and enable Loop Playlist. VLC must be installed; if the source is unavailable, check that VLC and OBS are installed for the same system architecture. The exact labels can vary by software version, so consult the OBS Media Sources guide and the controls in your installed build.

Choose encoder settings that your connection can hold
YouTube recommends encrypted RTMPS delivery. Its general encoder guidance supports H.264 video, constant bitrate (CBR), up to 60 fps, and a keyframe interval of two seconds (not more than four). For audio, YouTube lists AAC or MP3; its recommended advanced setting is stereo AAC at 128 Kbps. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee that your particular connection can sustain a chosen stream. See YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions.
| Output example | YouTube-recommended H.264 bitrate |
|---|---|
| 720p at 30 fps | 3–8 Mbps |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 5–14 Mbps |
These ranges are YouTube recommendations, not measured requirements for every video. Choose a bitrate within the relevant range based on the source, encoder and available upload bandwidth. YouTube advises leaving 20% upload headroom and warns that network disruptions can break a stream. Test upload speed on the actual connection OBS will use, accounting for other people and devices sharing it. A wired Ethernet connection may help avoid some wireless variability, but it cannot compensate for insufficient upload capacity. More connection and test guidance is in YouTube’s streaming tips.

Test the preview, then start and monitor the stream
- Set up OBS and YouTube in advance. Start OBS and confirm the Live Control Room receives a preview before you broadcast.
- Check the picture, Tamil narration, audio levels and the transition back to the beginning. Test with representative sound and movement, then review YouTube’s stream-health indicators.
- When ready, start the broadcast in YouTube if it is scheduled and auto-start is not enabled. Check the public watch page from another device if practical.
- Keep the computer, OBS, media file and network running. Monitor sound and picture quality during the broadcast; a local loop does not remove the need to watch for encoder or connection problems.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived after the encoder stops sending content. That guidance does not establish that a broadcast lasting 12 hours or longer will be fully archived. If preserving a longer overnight program matters, arrange a separate recording or archive workflow. See YouTube’s encoder streaming guide for its stream workflow and archive information.
Understand copyright and monetization risks
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including other live broadcasts. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you to stop; a continuing match can lead to interruption or termination. If you have a licence, the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the live broadcast to proceed. A Content ID claim can also appear on an archived stream after it ends. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

- PLUG IN AND HEAR SOUND IN SECONDS - USB Type-A connector with a 3.5mm stereo headphone output and a separate 3.5mm mono microphone input. No drivers, no software, no external power - the adapter is USB bus-powered and is recognized as a standard USB audio device.
- WORKS ON WINDOWS, MAC AND LINUX - Driverless on Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista/7/8, Linux and Mac OSX, and compliant with the USB Audio Device Class 1.0 specification, so any system that supports class-compliant USB audio will see it. Select it as the sound output and input device after plugging it in.
- TWO JACKS, TWO JOBS - The green jack is stereo OUT for headphones or powered speakers; the pink jack is mono microphone IN for a 3.5mm mic. It does NOT support 4-pole headsets on a single combo plug, it does NOT power passive speakers, and it does NOT add surround sound - it is a stereo 2-channel adapter.
- FOR LAPTOPS AND DESKTOPS THAT NEED AN AUDIO PORT BACK - Adds a headphone and mic port to a laptop, desktop, or mini PC whose onboard jack has failed or was never there. Managed and work-issued computers can block new USB audio devices by policy - check with your IT department before ordering for a company machine.
- SABRENT SUPPORT AND WARRANTY - What is in the box: one USB audio sound adapter. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty, extended to 2 years when you register within 90 days on the manufacturer's website.
Looping technically is not the same as meeting monetization rules. YouTube’s policy update dated July 15, 2025 renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content” and clarified that repetitive or mass-produced material can be ineligible. The policy applies to live streams, and reused-content review is separate from copyright permission. Make the meditation meaningfully original and assess both the channel and the individual stream against YouTube’s channel monetization policies; neither a working loop nor licensed audio guarantees monetization.
Troubleshoot common loop and broadcast problems
- The file plays once and stops: Open the Media Source properties and check that Loop is enabled. For a playlist, confirm Loop Playlist is enabled on a VLC Video source.
- VLC Video is missing or unavailable: Install VLC for the same system architecture as OBS, then reopen or refresh the source list.
- YouTube receives no feed: Check that OBS is using the stream URL and key from the intended Live Control Room stream. If the key may have been exposed or is incorrect, reset or recopy it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
- Preview or stream health shows a problem: Reduce resolution or bitrate to a level the actual connection can sustain, check other network users, and test again with upload headroom. YouTube notes that network disruption can break a stream.
- The loop has a pause, click or visual jump: Review the source file’s end and beginning, then preview the full transition in OBS. OBS’s loop setting repeats playback but does not promise gapless results for every file or setup.
- The stream is interrupted for a rights match: Stop or replace the matched material. Confirm broadcast rights; if licensed content is involved, ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you do not want a computer and home connection running through the night, StreamNeo can loop uploaded videos to YouTube Live from the cloud. The setup is: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. StreamNeo streams the uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. It is YouTube-only and plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera.
