The Hindi language does not change how FFmpeg loops a file. This creates a live delivery of prerecorded footage—not a live, camera-based product demonstration.
Before you start
You need a finished video file, FFmpeg installed on a computer that can remain connected for the length of the stream, and an encoder stream URL and key from YouTube Live Control Room. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days; its setup guidance also sets a minimum age of 16 to live stream. Check YouTube Help for current eligibility rules.

- Use video, music, voice, and product claims that you have the rights to stream. A prerecorded format does not remove copyright or policy obligations.
- Inspect the beginning and end of the file. A loop can repeat a visual jump, abrupt audio change, or spoken introduction; do not assume the boundary will be seamless.
- Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a password: do not put it in screenshots, public scripts, or shared logs.
Get the FFmpeg loop command ready
FFmpeg documents -stream_loop -1 as infinite input looping. It is an input option, so put it before the -i for the file it should loop. The -re option reads file input at its native frame rate, which can pace output for live streaming; it does not fix malformed media or every frame-rate mismatch.

Match the settings to your source and YouTube
- Set output resolution, frame rate, and bitrate to suit the source and the current YouTube guidance for your chosen resolution. The example’s
4500kvideo bitrate is not universal. - YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says it should not exceed four seconds. The example’s
-g 60means a 60-frame GOP; that is two seconds only at 30 fps. Adjust it for the frame rate you actually send. - The example re-encodes video with H.264 and audio with AAC. YouTube’s encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 among supported video codecs for applicable configurations, and AAC or MP3 audio for RTMP/RTMPS. Encoder support depends on your FFmpeg build and chosen configuration.
- For ordinary SDR video, YouTube lists Rec. 709 as the color space and provides stereo audio guidance. Consult its current resolution-specific bitrate table rather than treating this example as a preset.
YouTube recommends RTMPS, a secure extension to RTMP. It also recommends constant bitrate (CBR). Its live stream is transcoded for viewers, so the encoder settings you send and the rendition viewers receive are not necessarily identical.
Connect FFmpeg to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Live Control Room, create or open the event you want to stream. Copy the event’s stream URL and stream key into the FFmpeg output address, replacing the placeholders. Do not expose the key.
- Run the command from a terminal on the computer holding the video file. Keep FFmpeg running; closing the process or losing the computer’s connection stops the encoder feed.
- For a scheduled encoder stream, wait for the incoming feed to appear in the Live Control Room preview. Check the image and sound, then click Go live in Live Control Room to start the event.
- When finished, end the event in Live Control Room and stop FFmpeg. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; that statement should not be taken as a guarantee for longer streams or archive availability in every case.
Test and monitor the stream
Before a public event, test privately or as unlisted where appropriate. YouTube recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the real stream, checking the preview, and monitoring stream health and audio/video quality.

- Confirm that the preview appears, motion continues, and the audio is audible and at a suitable level.
- Check that the loop boundary is acceptable when the video repeats, including any music or spoken opening.
- Leave upload capacity above the total stream bitrate. YouTube’s streaming tips recommend 20% headroom over the total bitrate, including primary and backup streams where applicable.
Common problems and fixes
FFmpeg plays the file once and exits
Check that -stream_loop -1 appears before the relevant -i. FFmpeg options are order-sensitive; an input option placed after its input may not apply to that file.

YouTube does not show an incoming preview
Verify that you copied the stream URL and key for the correct event, that the key is current, and that FFmpeg is still running. Check the terminal output for connection or encoder errors. Keep the key private while troubleshooting; if it has been exposed, replace it in YouTube Live Control Room.

The output stutters or drops
Check the computer’s connection and available upload capacity against the full outgoing bitrate, with YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom. Also confirm the chosen resolution, frame rate, bitrate, and encoder settings are compatible with the current YouTube guidance and your source.
The picture or audio looks wrong
Recheck the source file and the output’s resolution, frame rate, pixel format, audio codec, and sample rate. Compare your settings with YouTube’s current encoder guidance; the example command is only a template and does not guarantee a correct conversion for every file.

The loop has an audible or visible jump
Edit or replace the source so its beginning and end work together, then test the transition in the preview. FFmpeg repeats the input; it does not make the content boundary seamless.
Copyright, prerecorded content, and monetization
Only stream material you have permission to use, including music and any voice or footage in the demo. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance also tells creators to ensure trailer audio and video rights and follow platform policies. This workflow does not establish that repetitive prerecorded live streams qualify for monetization, receive recommendations, or are allowed in every circumstance. Check YouTube’s current policies before relying on those outcomes.
