Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallYou can stream relaxing music with a still image or looping visual by sending an encoder feed to YouTube Live—but a dependable 24/7 broadcast requires more than starting the encoder. First confirm your channel is eligible, clear the music for livestream and replay use, then test the full setup and plan how someone will monitor and recover it. YouTube does not guarantee that a stream will stay live indefinitely.
Before you start: check eligibility and music rights
Confirm the channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Its help guidance also says streamers must be at least 16. Check access in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room before investing time in the setup. Eligibility to stream does not grant permission to use particular music or guarantee a continuous broadcast. YouTube’s overview of live streaming lists encoder, webcam, mobile, and console methods.
Get permission for the actual use
You are responsible for securing the rights needed for the music in your livestream. YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions specifically refer to music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Ask the rights holder or licensing provider to confirm, in writing, that your permission covers:
- Live performance on YouTube, including the territories where the stream will be available.
- Monetization, if you plan to earn from the broadcast.
- An archived replay or recording, if you intend to leave one available.
- Any required Content ID process, including whether your channel needs to be allowlisted.
A “royalty-free” label, a purchase, or a subscription alone does not establish that these uses are covered; check the terms for the specific track and service.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Understand Content ID interruptions
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content. If it identifies a match, it may replace the content with a placeholder and may interrupt or terminate the stream if the use continues. YouTube advises creators who have licensed third-party material to ask the owner to add their channel to the Content ID allowlist. A license may not prevent an interruption if that step is required and has not been completed. See YouTube’s live-streaming copyright guidance.
Do not treat Creator Music revenue-sharing tracks as a live-stream option: YouTube says videos using those tracks for revenue sharing cannot be livestreams. For other Creator Music permissions, follow the terms for the individual track rather than assuming ordinary video permissions include live use. YouTube Creator Music guidance

Choose a setup that can send music and a visual
For a music bed with a still picture or looping visual, an encoder is the most suitable of YouTube’s listed methods: it combines your audio and video into a feed for YouTube. You need a computer capable of running the encoder you choose, an audio source, a still image or loop, and a stable internet connection with enough upload capacity. YouTube does not specify a minimum computer model or configuration in the guidance cited here.
A webcam or mobile setup may suit a live camera presentation, but it is less directly suited to a pre-composed music-and-visual feed. Whichever method you choose, the method itself does not guarantee that a stream can run continuously or recover from a failure. YouTube describes software encoding as an option for computer-based production in its live-streaming tips.

Set up the encoder and test the broadcast
- Create a live stream in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room, create or select the stream, and locate its stream key and server URL. YouTube describes the stream key as the credential that tells your encoder where to send its feed. Treat it like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the stream. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
- Configure your encoder. Enter the stream key and server URL in the encoder, then select the music source and visual. Use the encoder’s supported settings and confirm the output is compatible with YouTube Live. The cited YouTube guidance does not establish a single setting that suits every encoder, connection, and production.
- Start a test feed and check Live Control Room. Configure the encoder ahead of the planned broadcast. Before going public, verify that YouTube receives the feed and that the Live Control Room preview shows the intended picture and sound.
- Check the viewer experience. Open the public watch page and listen for appropriate music level, clean playback, and any unintended silence or clipping. Confirm that the visual is still or looping as intended and that the audio and image stay in sync.
- Set a monitoring and response plan. Decide who will notice an interruption and what they will do if the encoder, connection, or stream fails. YouTube recommends monitoring audio and video quality; it does not promise that every stream will restart automatically.
YouTube’s encoder tips recommend setting up in advance, checking the Live Control Room preview, and continuously monitoring audio and video. A successful test confirms that the setup works at that time; it cannot prove the broadcast will remain uninterrupted indefinitely.
Plan upload bandwidth and connection reliability
Compare the encoder’s total stream bitrate with the upload bandwidth actually available while you plan to broadcast. YouTube recommends leaving 20% room between total stream bitrate and available upload bandwidth. Count other traffic on the connection, and include both primary and backup stream traffic if you send both. YouTube warns that a network disruption can break the stream; see its network guidance for live streaming.

A wired Ethernet connection is an optional practical choice for connecting a computer to a network. It is not a YouTube requirement, and it cannot guarantee that a stream will not drop. Prioritize sufficient upload capacity, limiting competing traffic where practical, and a plan to monitor and respond to failures.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What “24/7” can and cannot promise
“24/7” describes the intended format, not a platform guarantee. YouTube’s setup guidance explains how to send and monitor a live feed, but does not establish a universal maximum duration, indefinite availability, or automatic recovery for every encoder or channel. Keep the Live Control Room and current platform rules in view, and avoid advertising a stream as uninterrupted unless you can substantiate that claim for your own operation.
