Blur’s website is scheduled to close on November 12, 2026, according to October 12–13 reporting. The reported shutdown does not itself move NFTs or cancel orders: your assets remain in the wallet that owns them, and you must either list them through another marketplace or transfer them to a different address. Before signing anything, review Blur orders, confirm the destination marketplace supports the NFT’s chain and collection, and verify every recipient address.
As of October 13, 2026, the reported closure had not happened. Contemporary reports say Blur’s on-chain marketplace protocol is expected to remain operational after the website closes, while Blend will stop matching new loans on November 12. “Operational” does not guarantee that Blur’s own interface, order-management screens, or every feature will remain available. Treat the date and post-closure behavior as time-sensitive and check current official Blur notices before acting.

What the shutdown means for an NFT owner
A website is an interface to blockchain records; it is not the wallet holding your NFT. Closing a marketplace website does not, by itself, transfer ownership, delete an NFT, or create a listing somewhere else. The token remains at its current blockchain address until a transaction changes its owner.

A listing and a transfer are separate actions:
- Listing: you authorize a marketplace order offering the NFT for sale. The token normally stays in your wallet until a buyer fills the order.
- Transfer: you send the NFT to another wallet address. This changes custody; it does not automatically create a sale listing on the receiving marketplace.
Reporting says Blur handled about $1.43 billion in monthly trading volume at its March 2023 peak and less than $7 million in March 2026, figures reported by CoinDesk on October 13, 2026 and not independently verified here. Those figures describe activity, not the safety or status of any individual NFT.

Decide whether you need a new listing or a transfer
Use a new marketplace listing when you still want to sell
Connect the wallet that owns the NFT to a destination marketplace, confirm that the collection and blockchain are supported, and create a fresh order there. A listing on another service is a new marketplace authorization; it is not a migration of Blur’s order history.
Use a wallet transfer when you are changing custody
Transfer when the goal is to move the NFT to a second wallet, a custodian, or another person. You will need the recipient’s public address and enough of the chain’s native currency to pay network costs. The receiving wallet can later connect to a marketplace and list the asset.
Do not assume moving the token cancels an order
OpenSea has documented that transferring an NFT out of a wallet does not necessarily cancel an active listing. If the NFT returns to that wallet, an old order may still be active. That documentation describes OpenSea’s mechanism; other marketplaces may implement orders differently. Check the relevant orders or listings view and cancel anything you no longer intend to honor.

Record each NFT and its current state
- Write down the collection name, token ID, blockchain, and current wallet address.
- Capture the Blur listing price, expiration, sale currency, and any order identifier shown by the interface.
- Note whether the NFT is in a loan, collateral position, escrow contract, or other arrangement rather than simply available in your wallet.
- Save transaction hashes and screenshots for your own records; never save a recovery phrase in a screenshot or cloud note.
Protect signing credentials
Use only the wallet you already control. A legitimate marketplace connection asks the wallet to approve a connection and sign a message to prove ownership; it should not ask for a recovery phrase or private key. Do not paste those secrets into a website, support chat, form, or browser pop-up. Check the domain and wallet account before approving a request.

Leave room for network fees
Listing, cancellation, approval, and transfer transactions can each involve network costs, depending on the chain and the marketplace’s design. The applicable marketplace fee, cancellation cost, royalty treatment, and network fee should be displayed by the service at the time you act. There is no current universal fee schedule established for every destination or collection, so do not rely on an old screenshot or a fee quoted for another chain.
Step 1: review and cancel Blur orders you no longer want
- Open Blur while it is still accessible. Confirm that the connected account is the wallet that owns the NFTs. If the site is unavailable, use the marketplace’s documented order-management method or a reputable block-explorer record; do not sign an unfamiliar “recovery” transaction.
- Open the account’s active listings or orders view. Work collection by collection and compare each order with the NFT and price you recorded.
- Cancel unwanted orders. Read the wallet prompt, check the contract and transaction details, and approve only a cancellation you understand. Some cancellation methods may require a network fee.
- Confirm the result. Refresh the order view and, when possible, check the transaction status on the relevant blockchain explorer. A pending or failed cancellation is not the same as a completed one.
Do not cancel a listing merely because you plan to move the NFT. Cancel when you no longer want the order to be fillable, or when the destination marketplace requires a clean order state. Keep a record of cancellations so you can distinguish an old Blur order from a new listing later.
Step 2: choose a destination marketplace carefully
Coinbase’s older migration guidance names OpenSea, Magic Eden, and Blur as examples of marketplaces where users might list NFTs after a service change. That page does not establish current support for every collection or blockchain. Use those names as examples, not as a guarantee.

Type the marketplace address yourself or use a bookmark you created from a trusted official announcement. A search advertisement, unsolicited direct message, or support account can lead to a counterfeit site.

Step 3: connect your existing wallet and verify the NFT
- Open the intended marketplace and choose its wallet-connect control.
- Select the wallet account that currently owns the NFT. If multiple accounts are available, compare the displayed address with your inventory.
- Approve the connection in the wallet.
- Sign the ownership message if requested. A message signature is different from transferring the NFT, but read the text before signing and reject anything asking for a seed phrase or private key.
- Navigate to the collection and token ID. Confirm the blockchain, contract address, image, attributes, and owner address.
If the collection does not appear, stop. The cause could be unsupported chain, delayed indexing, hidden spam filtering, a wrong wallet account, or an unrecognized collection. Do not “fix” the problem by importing your recovery phrase into a new website.
Step 4: create a replacement listing
- Choose List, Sell, or the equivalent control for the verified NFT.
- Select the supported sale format and currency. Terms vary by marketplace, chain, and collection.
- Enter the price and expiration date, then review the net proceeds, marketplace charge, royalty information, and estimated network cost shown on screen.
- Complete any one-time collection or token approval requested by the wallet. Confirm the contract and collection before signing.
- Sign or submit the listing order in the wallet. Keep the resulting order identifier or transaction hash.
- Reopen the marketplace’s active-orders page and verify that the listing is visible at the intended price and expiration.
A replacement listing does not import Blur’s watchers, bids, analytics, or historical order data. Buyers will see the destination marketplace’s terms and presentation. If you later move the NFT, revisit active orders first because a transfer may not cancel them automatically.
Step 5: transfer an NFT to another wallet
Prepare the recipient address
Obtain the recipient’s public address through a trusted channel. Compare it character by character, including the first and last several characters, and confirm that the address belongs to the intended chain and wallet. A blockchain transfer generally cannot be reversed by customer support.

- Open the NFT in the wallet or a marketplace connected to the owning wallet.
- Choose Transfer, Send, or the equivalent command.
- Select the exact collection and token ID. Check that the preview matches the asset you intend to send.
- Paste or enter the recipient address. Do not use an address copied from an unverified browser extension pop-up or a look-alike support account.
- Review the chain, token, recipient, network fee, and any marketplace warning.
- Confirm the transaction in the connected wallet and wait for blockchain confirmation.
- Check the transaction hash and then verify ownership from the receiving wallet or a reputable explorer.
OpenSea’s transfer help documentation states: “Once it’s been sent, you won’t be able to undo it.” Apply that warning to any transfer you initiate through OpenSea; other interfaces may use different wording, but a confirmed blockchain transfer should be treated as irreversible.

Listing versus transferring: the practical trade-offs

What to do about Blend loans
Do not treat a Blend position like an ordinary marketplace listing. Contemporary reports say Blend will stop matching new loans on November 12, 2026, and mention a future frontend tool for withdrawing assets. The available reporting does not provide a complete borrower-and-lender checklist, deadlines for every position, or a universal recovery process.
If you have a Blend loan, collateral, or lender position:
- Identify whether you are the borrower, lender, or owner of collateral and record the relevant position details.
- Read the latest official Blur and Blend notices for instructions specific to existing positions.
- Do not cancel, repay, withdraw, or transfer collateral based solely on ordinary listing instructions.
- Check transaction details carefully and keep hashes for every action.
Until official instructions are available and verified, avoid assuming that the reported marketplace-protocol continuity gives you access to every Blend feature.

Troubleshooting common problems
The NFT is missing on the destination marketplace
- Confirm the connected account and blockchain network.
- Search by the exact contract address and token ID, not only the collection name.
- Check whether the service recognizes the collection and permits listings on that chain.
- Allow for indexing delay, then verify ownership on-chain.
- Stop if a site asks for a recovery phrase or private key.
The listing button is disabled
The collection may be unsupported, the wallet may not own the token, an approval may be pending, or the marketplace may restrict that sale format. Read the displayed error, check the pending transaction in the wallet, and use the marketplace’s documented support channel. Do not repeatedly sign blind transactions.
A cancellation or transfer is pending
Check the transaction hash on the correct chain. A pending transaction may require waiting; a failed transaction may require a new attempt after identifying the cause. Never send a second transfer simply because the interface has not refreshed until you know whether the first transaction succeeded.
The old Blur order still appears
Record its status and avoid moving the NFT back into a wallet while an unwanted order might remain active. Use the marketplace’s documented cancellation process where available. Do not assume that a transfer erased the order.
Information that remains uncertain
The reported November 12 date, continued protocol operation, and Blend change come from October 12–13, 2026 reporting rather than a retrieved official shutdown announcement. The final behavior of Blur’s website, any export or migration tool for orders, and exact Blend deadlines were not established. Current collection-level support at alternative marketplaces also changes over time.
Before publication or execution, verify the live status through official Blur updates and the destination marketplace’s current help pages. If the website closes earlier, later, or with different functionality, follow the live notice rather than an archived guide.
