This supports account-linked stats; it does not establish that an unfinished puzzle board or each guess syncs immediately.
Use the same New York Times account on every device
NYT Games material recommends creating a New York Times account or signing in to an existing one to play Wordle across devices while retaining progress. Before troubleshooting a streak that looks different, check which account is active on the device where the streak is correct. Keep that account signed in; avoid logging out or clearing browser data until you know which account holds the stats.

- Identify the account with the correct streak. On the device where your Wordle stats look right, check the signed-in New York Times account.
- Sign in on your other devices. Open the official NYT Wordle platform or NYT Games app and use that exact same account.
- Compare the stats in the app. In the Games app, open the Me tab and expand the Wordle card to view its statistics and streak.
The Games app sign-in route differs by platform: on iOS, start from the Me tab; on Android, open the menu. See the NYT Games app help page for the app’s documented sign-in and stats screens.
If your Wordle streak still differs
Confirm the account before changing anything else
A different signed-in account is a sensible first thing to check when stats do not match. Verify the account on each device rather than assuming a streak has been deleted or reset.

Report a persistent issue to NYT
If the accounts match but the displayed stats still differ, use the Games app’s support controls or contact NYT support. NYT’s Crossword help page advises confirming the account and reporting unresolved statistics problems for that game. That is adjacent-game troubleshooting guidance, not a Wordle-specific restoration procedure or a guarantee that support can recover a missing streak.
What account syncing does—and does not—confirm
The available NYT Games material supports linking Wordle progress and statistics to an account. It does not specify whether an unfinished board synchronizes immediately, whether every guess appears on another device in real time, or how to restore a missing Wordle streak. Treat the streak and stats as account-linked, but do not rely on an undocumented live-board sync when switching devices mid-puzzle.
