If every lesson begins with the same intro card, OBS will repeat it because it is part of each video file. Make intro-free copies of the lessons, then loop those prepared files as a playlist. If the card is a separate OBS source, keep it separate from the lesson playlist and show it only when needed. OBS does not document an automatic way to detect or remove cards inside a video.
First identify where the intro card comes from
The card is inside every lesson file
A playlist repeats its media files as they are. If each file starts with an intro card, the card will appear each time that lesson plays. Create intro-free copies or edit the source files before adding them to the playlist. If you want one opening card for the broadcast, use a separate asset and arrange for it to appear only once.

The card is a separate OBS source
Check the scene’s source list and visibility. Keep the card independent from the playlist and show it only at the intended point. This is a practical use of OBS source visibility, not an automatic intro-removal feature.

Prepare and check the intro-free lesson files. Put them in the order you want viewers to see them.

Install VLC. OBS’s VLC Video source requires VLC; if you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC.

In OBS, add a VLC Video source to the scene that will carry the lessons, then add the prepared files to its playlist.

Enable Loop Playlist in the source settings. Confirm that the playlist order and transitions behave as intended by previewing it before going live.

For one lesson file repeated by itself
Add the file as an OBS Media Source and enable its Loop setting. This repeats that single file; it will not remove an intro card embedded in it.
Check the stream before relying on it

Preview the output in YouTube Live Control Room before the broadcast and monitor the stream’s audio and video while it is live.

YouTube’s live-stream eligibility guidance says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. The same guidance lists a limit of 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key. These requirements and limits can change, so check the current YouTube live-streaming eligibility and limits guidance before starting.

Make sure you have the rights to every lesson and any included music or other third-party material. YouTube’s live-stream terms require streamed content to comply with Community Guidelines and that you have the necessary rights for use on Google services.

Do not assume one uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast will produce a complete replay. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a complete archive matters, plan shorter segments or make a separate local recording. See YouTube’s archive live streams guidance.

Reused openings do not automatically decide monetization eligibility. YouTube says the same intro and outro can be allowed when most of each video differs, but highly repetitive or interchangeable content with little educational value may be ineligible. This is a channel and content policy, not a guaranteed outcome for a particular stream. Check the YouTube channel monetization policies.

Common problems and fixes
The intro still appears before every lesson
It is probably baked into each file. Edit the lessons or export intro-free copies; changing OBS’s loop setting will not cut content out of a video.
The VLC Video source is missing or will not play media
Install VLC and make sure its architecture matches OBS. OBS specifies 64-bit VLC for 64-bit OBS.

The wrong lesson plays next
Review the VLC Video playlist order and preview the sequence before going live. Check that the files added are the prepared versions rather than the originals with intro cards.

The broadcast ends or its archive is incomplete
Check the stream status and YouTube Live Control Room. If you need a full replay, avoid relying on automatic archiving for a stream that exceeds YouTube’s stated 12-hour threshold; record locally or schedule shorter broadcasts.
