To invite friends in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, open the in-game menu, go to Lobby, choose a friend under Friends & More, then select Invite. The campaign supports up to four players total: you as host and up to three friends. After inviting them, you can create a custom lobby with those friends.
How to invite friends to your co-op session
- Open the in-game menu and select Lobby.
- Under Friends & More, select the friend you want to invite.
- Choose Invite.
- Once your friends have been invited, create a custom lobby with them to play together.
Ubisoft’s published instructions use these menu labels; button prompts may differ by platform. Invitations cannot be sent while you are in a player-versus-player (PvP) mode.

How many players can join?
Campaign co-op supports up to four players in total, including the host, so you can have up to three friends in your session. Ubisoft describes the Friend Pass invitation flow as allowing up to three friends to join the host at once. Ubisoft Help and Ubisoft’s launch announcement document these limits.
What Friend Pass guests need
If a friend is joining through Friend Pass rather than owning the game, Ubisoft Help lists these conditions:
#1 Best Overall
- Feel physically responsive feedback to your in-game actions through haptic feedback
- Experience varying levels of force and tension at your fingertips with adaptive triggers
- Chat online through the built-in microphone and connect a headset directly through the 3.5mm jack
- Switch voice capture on and off using the dedicated mute button
- Play on more devices using the USB Type-C cable or Bluetooth to connect easily to Windows PC and Mac computers, Android and iOS mobile phones as well as your PlayStation 5
- An internet connection.
- The Free Trial installed.
- Play on the same platform as the host.
- On console, the applicable PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass console subscription for online features.
Ubisoft Help describes a six-hour Free Trial, but that does not establish that the trial can currently be obtained. Check the current platform listing and Ubisoft’s support information before relying on trial availability. The original Friend Pass promotion announcement said it ran until June 16, 2020; that is a historical promotion end date, not a current offer or deadline. Ubisoft’s 2020 announcement
Ubisoft Help says invited guests can keep playing while the host remains connected, even if the guests’ Free Trial time has ended. This condition should not be read as a guarantee that Friend Pass access is currently available on every platform.

Can you play co-op across platforms?

If an invitation or online session does not work
- Check your game mode: Ubisoft says invitations cannot be sent during PvP. Return to a non-PvP context and try the invite path again.
- Check Friend Pass conditions: Confirm the guest has the Free Trial installed, is on the host’s platform, has an internet connection, and—on console—has the required online subscription.
- Consider matchmaking connectivity: Ubisoft’s March 2020 Ghost Experience update described a mode that allowed solo PvE when matchmaking connectivity was inconsistent, while multiplayer modes remained unavailable without a sustained connection to matchmaking services. That dated guidance also said players could initiate matchmaking to retest the connection; it is not a live outage diagnosis or a guaranteed current troubleshooting sequence.
