Start by identifying whether a mod replaces game files, changes textures through Resorep, or adds scripts through BmSDK; then follow that mod’s own instructions and back up anything it replaces. BmSDK’s current project notice says it supports Steam copies only. These are community workflows, not official Rocksteady support.
Choose the installation method by mod type
Mod pages can specify different tools, destinations, and dependencies, so do not assume that instructions for one mod apply to another. The current Arkham Knight Nexus catalog includes visual, character, gameplay, utility, and interface mods; some entries explicitly require BmSDK.

Install a file-based DLC mod
- Read the mod page first. Check the description, files, dependencies, and any required install path in the Nexus catalog. Do not infer a destination from the archive’s top-level folder alone.
- Download and extract the archive. Keep the original archive so you can identify its source and reinstall it if necessary. Before copying anything, compare the extracted folder structure with the mod’s stated instructions.
- Back up the target files or directory. Preserve a clean copy before replacing files. This gives you a manual way to undo changes if the mod does not work as expected.
- Copy only to the destination the mod specifies. The community tool ArkhamModDownloader documents
DLC356474as its Arkham Knight target and says it moves detected UPK conflicts and optional files to a separate folder. That describes the tool’s behavior, not a rule for all mods. - Launch the game and check the result. If the game has a problem, restore the files you backed up or remove only the additions identified by the mod. Avoid deleting unfamiliar files just because they are in a modded directory.
Install a texture mod that uses Resorep
Texture mods do not necessarily use the same method. One Arkham Knight texture overhaul specifically instructs users to use Resorep, set Texture Resolution to High, and put downloaded textures in Resorep’s modded folder.

- Check the current mod page and Resorep instructions to confirm that this is still the required tool and workflow for your setup.
- Set the game’s Texture Resolution to High if the mod calls for it.
- Place the downloaded textures in the
moddedfolder Resorep uses, following the mod’s folder and file instructions. - Keep a copy of the original files or a record of the added textures so you can reverse the change if necessary.
That example does not establish that every texture replacement needs Resorep, or that the older tool works with every current configuration. Use the instructions for the specific mod rather than treating this as a general texture-mod recipe.

Install BmSDK and a script mod
BmSDK-AK is a community C# scripting framework. Its project documentation describes installation with an installer or manually: download a release archive, then copy its Binaries and BmGame folders into the game directory. The repository’s current notice says only Steam copies are supported, so compatibility with Epic or GOG versions is not established.
- Confirm the requirements. Check the script mod’s page for BmSDK, other dependencies, and supported game copy before downloading.
- Install the framework. Use the project’s installer or follow its manual instructions to copy
BinariesandBmGamefrom the release archive to the game directory. - Add the script. Put the mod’s loose
.csscript inBmGameScripts, unless the mod’s own directions specify otherwise. The BmSDK first-mod guide also describes game package files underBmGameCookedPCConsole. - Start the game and verify the change. If it fails, remove or restore the files associated with the last change and check the mod’s requirements.
BmSDK’s project documentation warns: “Keep in mind that script mods can potentially harm your computer.” Treat scripts as executable code: download them only from sources you trust.

Keep track of changes and troubleshoot carefully
Record each mod separately
For each installation, note the source page, archive, version, install date, dependencies, and files or folders changed. This makes it easier to identify conflicts and reverse one mod without disturbing others. Requirements vary across catalog entries, so revisit the individual mod page when updating or reinstalling.
Change one mod at a time
Install a single mod, launch the game, and note what changed before adding another. If a problem appears, first undo the most recent mod’s identified changes. No cited source establishes a guaranteed compatibility, performance, or stability outcome, so treat this as a way to isolate a change—not a promised fix.

Be cautious with mod managers
The cited Mod Organizer 2 executable documentation explains that programs must be launched through MO2 for its virtual file system to apply. It does not establish that Arkham Knight is supported, so that documentation alone is not enough to recommend MO2 as a confirmed manager for this game.
Understand what game-file verification can change
A current Nexus listing snippet recommends verifying game files when pre-existing mods may interfere with a new mod. Verification can restore changed game files and may remove manually installed modifications; back up first. The catalog recommendation does not document the exact behavior for every storefront, so consult your platform’s current instructions before using verification.
