For a supported Samsung Galaxy phone with an Exynos processor, start with Game Booster’s Performance mode for demanding games, then adjust that game’s FPS and resolution settings if available. These controls can trade battery life for responsiveness, and heavier settings may add heat; Samsung does not publish universal Exynos frame-rate gains for them.
Choose a Game Booster mode
Samsung’s Game Booster offers a straightforward way to balance game performance and battery use. On supported phones, look for the controls in Gaming Hub. Menu labels and placement vary by device, region, and software version.

These mode descriptions come from Samsung Ireland’s Game optimisation guide. They describe intended behavior, not guaranteed frame-rate improvements on every Exynos phone.
Find the setting on your software version
On Samsung’s One UI 7 instructions, the route is Gaming Hub > More options > Game Booster > Game optimization > Performance. Samsung says that high-performance mode, previously in Game Booster Labs, moved to the top of Game Booster settings. Older versions may use a different route: Samsung’s earlier guide places game optimization under Gaming Hub > More > Game Booster > Game optimisation. If you do not see the option, your model or software may not support it, or the menu may be elsewhere.

Samsung notes that updates can vary by software version, device model, and region in its One UI 7 Game Booster guide. The Ireland guide also says that Gaming Hub versions below 7.0 may display More in a different location.
Tune a demanding game’s FPS and resolution
If your phone offers per-game customization, it can be more useful than applying one profile to every game. Samsung’s One UI 7 guide documents controls for optimization level, FPS, screen resolution, and frame booster for individual games.

- Open Gaming Hub > More options > Game Booster.
- Open Customizations for individual games and select the game, if that option appears.
- Change one available setting at a time: optimization level, FPS, resolution, or frame booster. Check the game’s own graphics menu as well.
- Play long enough to judge whether the change helps without making heat or battery drain uncomfortable. If it does not help, restore the previous value.
Higher FPS or resolution can place more demand on the phone, but Samsung’s documentation does not establish universal settings or thresholds for Exynos devices. A game may also restrict its own frame-rate options, so a phone-side control does not guarantee that every game will offer every rate.

Manage heat and battery drain
Performance mode may drain the battery faster. Samsung also warns in its Galaxy S23 performance guidance that alternate game performance management may increase heat or battery consumption. That page concerns the S23 series, which Samsung identifies as Snapdragon-based; it is evidence of a possible tradeoff, not proof of Exynos performance results or a universal Exynos menu path.

- If the phone becomes uncomfortably hot or loses charge too quickly, switch back to Standard and reduce the game’s graphics or FPS demand.
- Take a break if the phone stays hot. Avoid charging during play where practical to avoid adding heat.
- For a long session where heat is the main issue, a clip-on phone cooler is an optional accessory to consider, not a verified Exynos performance fix. Samsung’s cited materials do not test coolers or establish compatibility or FPS gains.
How well a phone sustains performance over a long session depends on the device, game, and environment. Samsung’s cited guidance warns about heat but does not provide sustained-FPS measurements for Exynos phones.

Changing Game Booster or graphics settings is a practical troubleshooting step, not a promise of a particular speed increase. The Samsung support material documents available features and their tradeoffs; it does not publish controlled Exynos tests, frame-rate gains, thermal thresholds, or quantified battery-life differences for these settings.

There is no need to disable Game Optimizing Service, bypass thermal safeguards, root the phone, or install unofficial tuning tools to try the supported controls above. Samsung’s cited support pages do not recommend those steps, and they can introduce stability, heat, or security risks.
