For ongoing access to Google Calendar in Apple Calendar, add your Google account to Calendar on your Mac. To make a one-time copy of events between the services, export the source calendar as an .ics file and import it into the destination. An imported copy does not keep syncing with its source.

The documented Google import and export steps use a computer, and Apple’s cited calendar-file instructions are for Calendar on Mac. Menu wording can vary by macOS version.

How do I move my Google Calendar to Apple Calendar?
Use this route for a one-time copy. Google exports a single calendar as an .ics file. If you export all calendars together, Google downloads a ZIP containing separate .ics files; extract the files and import them individually.

On a computer, open Google Calendar. To export one calendar, open that calendar’s settings and sharing options, then choose Export calendar.

To export all your calendars instead, go to Settings > Import & export > Export. Extract the downloaded ZIP so you can select the individual calendar files.

On your Mac, open Calendar and choose File > Import. Select the
.icsfile, or drag it into Calendar, then choose the destination calendar. -
Open a few imported events and check their details. Apple says importing a calendar file removes the events’ previous custom color.

If Google does not offer the export, you may lack the required permission: Google requires Make changes and manage sharing for the calendar. A work or school administrator may also restrict exports.

How do I import Apple Calendar into Google Calendar?
Export the specific Apple calendar as an .ics file, then import it in Google Calendar on a computer.

On your Mac, open Calendar and select the calendar in the calendar list. If the list is hidden, choose View > Show Calendar List.

Choose the exported
.icsfile, select the Google calendar that should receive the events, and click Import. -
Review important invitations after importing: Google says guests and conference data are not imported.
Do not choose Apple’s Calendar Archive for this transfer. That creates an .icbu archive, not the per-calendar .ics event file used in this workflow. Apple warns that importing an archive replaces current calendar information and data.

Add the Google account to Calendar on your Mac. This connects the account so you can access its calendar in Apple Calendar; it does not import a duplicate into iCloud.

Open Calendar and choose Calendar > Add Account.

Choose Google and follow the sign-in steps.

If the account setup is presented through Calendar preferences, use Calendar > Preferences > Accounts, add Google, sign in, and choose how often calendars should refresh.
Apple and Google also document adding Google Calendar to Apple devices, but the precise steps above are for Mac.

Recurring events from CSV: Google warns that recurring events imported from CSV may appear as separate one-time events. For Apple-to-Google calendar transfers, use the documented
.icsexport rather than CSV. -
Other metadata: Apple and Google do not provide a complete field-by-field guarantee for every calendar round trip. If a particular detail or recurrence pattern must be preserved, transfer a representative event first and inspect the result.
Which file should you use?
Use .ics for ordinary calendar-to-calendar event transfers. Google supports importing .ics and .csv, while Apple’s cited Mac instructions export an individual calendar’s events as .ics. Apple’s all-calendar archive uses .icbu and is intended for archiving or restoring Apple calendar data, not as the normal Google import file.
