Recharge at active Void Pedestals, activate the tactical when you are ready to move, and fire at a surface; jumping as you reach the anchor gives you a stronger upward launch. The Void Claw is a movement tool, not the Warden’s Blight Wonder Weapon.
Unlock the Void Claw at the Nexus Forge
The pedestal that grants the Void Claw becomes usable after you complete the Pack-a-Punch setup at the Nexus Forge. The route described for that setup begins at Her House: place the World Seed, pursue and defeat two Dread Skulls, carry their Usurped Flames to the Forge braziers, and turn both crank wheels. The platform lowers and Pack-a-Punch activates.

Claim it from the pedestal
Go below the Forge and interact with the green orb on the pedestal. If the orb is inactive, check the setup: a brazier may still be unlit or a crank may not have been turned. The pedestal’s activation is tied to finishing the Forge setup.

After claiming the tactical, find an active Void Pedestal elsewhere on the map. Its green orb identifies it; interact with the pedestal to recharge the Void Claw.

A gameplay guide updated August 21, 2026, reports that activating the Void Claw replaces your Tactical Equipment for 30 seconds and allows unlimited grapples during that window. This timing is a guide-reported mechanic, not an official statistic. Because the active period is brief, choose a route or target before activating it. Mechanics can change with updates, so verify the interaction and timing in the live game.
Grapple for movement and retrieve purple orbs
Cross gaps or create space
Aim at a surface and fire to pull yourself toward it. For a faster upward launch, press jump as you reach the grapple anchor. This can help you cross a gap or get away from a crowd; plan your landing so the movement takes you where you intend.

Pull in purple orbs
The grapple can also drag floating purple orbs across the map. The resulting loot may vary, so treat the orbs as an opportunity rather than a guarantee of a particular drop.

The Void Talon is a separate upgrade path, not the name of the standard Void Claw. Warden’s Blight is a different item altogether. For basic traversal, claim and recharge the standard grapple; the upgrade’s quest steps are not required for the instructions above.

Rex Infernus is the final round-based Zombies map announced for Black Ops 7 Season 05 Reloaded. Activision’s announcement, published August 18, 2026, gives August 20, 2026, as the Main Quest availability date: Activision’s Rex Infernus announcement. Its listed 10,000 XP reward is for completing the Main Quest, not a Void Claw mechanic.
