These routes are not equivalent: a diversified fund may have only a changing, limited allocation, a private fund can restrict withdrawals, and a leveraged ETF is designed around a daily target. In every case, owning a fund is not the same as being a SpaceX shareholder.
What are the main ways to get SpaceX or space-sector exposure?
| Route | Examples identified | What the investment represents | Primary trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Space-sector ETF | Procure Space ETF (UFO) | A publicly traded basket of space-related companies; a June 2026 Procure announcement reported adding SpaceX. | SpaceX’s weight may be limited and holdings can change. |
| Private-market fund | The Private Shares Fund; Fundrise Innovation Fund | An interest in a fund that reports or announced a SpaceX position within a private-company portfolio. | Valuation, eligibility, and redemption terms differ from exchange-traded shares. |
| Daily leveraged or inverse ETF | Direxion LOFF and LOFD; T-REX SPCU | A product targeting a multiple of SpaceX’s daily performance, not ownership of SpaceX shares. | Daily reset and compounding can make longer-period returns diverge sharply from the target multiple. |
These are examples, not an exhaustive list of funds with SpaceX exposure. Their holdings, terms, and availability can change. Check each fund’s latest official disclosures before investing.

What does a space-sector ETF offer?
UFO provides a basket, not a pure SpaceX holding
Procure’s June 2026 announcement said the Procure Space ETF (UFO) added SpaceX and described a portfolio spanning satellite communications, launch services, GPS, and related businesses. That is a dated announcement, not confirmation of the fund’s current holdings or SpaceX allocation. Consult UFO’s latest holdings disclosure and prospectus to see what it owns now, how much is allocated to each position, and how its mandate defines space-related companies.

A thematic ETF can spread exposure across businesses in a sector, but its returns also reflect those other holdings. If the goal is specifically to track SpaceX, a basket fund may not do so closely; its allocation can be small, and the portfolio can change.

How do private funds provide SpaceX exposure?
The Private Shares Fund
The Private Shares Fund reported that SpaceX represented 13.6% of its portfolio as of December 31, 2025. That figure describes the fund’s portfolio on that date; it is not a current allocation guarantee. The fund identifies itself as a closed-end interval fund. Its disclosure says quarterly repurchases are limited to up to 5% of outstanding shares at net asset value (NAV), so investors should not assume they can sell whenever they choose or redeem all of their investment at NAV.
The fund warns that its shares are highly illiquid. Review its current prospectus and repurchase terms, along with how the fund values private holdings and what fees and expenses apply.

Fundrise Innovation Fund
An SEC-filed supplement for the Fundrise Innovation Fund announced a SpaceX portfolio addition. The supplement describes a portfolio concentrated in technology-related investments and warns investors to be able to afford a complete loss. Read the fund’s current offering documents for its investment terms, eligibility requirements, valuation approach, and any limits on transfers or withdrawals. A portfolio announcement does not establish the fund’s current SpaceX weight or make it a personalized recommendation.
Private-fund interests are not interchangeable with publicly traded shares. Before investing, determine what the fund owns, how reported values are set, when investors may request liquidity, and whether requests can be limited.
What do SpaceX leveraged ETFs do—and why are they different?
Daily targets are not long-term multiples
Direxion describes LOFF and LOFD as seeking daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 200% and -200%, respectively, of SpaceX’s daily performance. Cboe describes SPCU as seeking 200% of daily performance. Those are daily targets, not promises to deliver twice or negative twice SpaceX’s return over a week, month, or longer period.
Because these products reset daily, compounding makes multi-day results dependent on the path of daily returns. An SEC-filed T-REX prospectus states that returns for periods longer or shorter than a trading day should not be expected to equal 200% of SpaceX’s performance for that period. Volatility, fees, expenses, and tracking differences can further affect results. These products are generally tactical instruments, not simple substitutes for owning a company over the long term.

Review the current prospectus for each ticker, including its stated objective, fees and expenses, risks, and how it seeks to meet its target. Do not infer a product’s actual holdings or mechanics from its daily objective alone.

How should you compare the routes?
- Exposure: Is the fund’s objective broad space-sector exposure, a private-company portfolio with a reported SpaceX position, or a daily multiple of SpaceX’s price performance?
- Concentration: What percentage is actually allocated to SpaceX, and when was that weight reported? A past holding or portfolio announcement does not establish today’s allocation.
- Liquidity: Can you trade on an exchange, or are transfers or repurchases limited? For a private fund, read the redemption terms rather than assuming you can exit on demand.
- Valuation: How are private holdings valued, and how frequently are values updated? A reported NAV is not the same as a continuously traded market price.
- Leverage and horizon: Does the product reset daily? If so, understand how compounding affects returns over your intended holding period.
- Costs and terms: Check current management fees, other expenses, trading costs, eligibility, and any minimums in the official documents. The figures and terms can change.
- Portfolio breadth: For a thematic ETF or private fund, examine its other holdings and how much they could influence overall performance.
How to check a fund before investing
- Find the current official documents. Read the latest prospectus or offering documents and, where applicable, statement of additional information and holdings disclosure. Do not rely on a dated announcement as a substitute.
- Confirm the exposure and its date. Check whether SpaceX is currently listed, the reported weight, and whether the exposure is direct, indirect, or tied to a daily performance objective.
- Check exit terms and valuation. For private funds, identify repurchase windows, limits, valuation practices, and any transfer restrictions.
- Match the structure to your intended holding period. In particular, understand daily reset and compounding before considering a leveraged or inverse product.
- Verify current availability and eligibility. Product access can depend on jurisdiction, account, and offering terms; the examples here do not establish that a particular investor can buy them.
No route here guarantees a particular return or provides the rights of direct SpaceX ownership. The right comparison is the full structure—exposure, liquidity, valuation, costs, and risk—not just whether a product uses the word “space.”
